I've always thought that the wallpapers that looked like a photo on a desk were kind of cool. This wall started out being slightly more "regular" but I wanted to know what it would look like with sepia toning, and I really liked it. The transition to it becoming an old photo followed soon afterwards, and then I added the wood grain for it to sit on. I had the idea to add the carved words at the very end, so please tell me if you think they look okay or not. I know it's not the most unique idea but I think it came out pretty well ^_^;
The quote written on the photo is from the English dialogue in the episodes - I don't think Rosette says that in the original Japanese, but I thought it fit the picture.

the photo is just almost perfect (nothings perfect heh...) and really clear.
i think you chould change the BG, tho. it's a bit plain and simple. you should put it on a desk or something similar, with items that would remind the anime (like Rosette's necklace, or gun, or if you really want to rock, some belogings that is not on the photo!!!)
But don't touch the photo, please. (except your signature you should make it look more like "good ol'days" a bit faded and an older handwriting, this one's too modern -let me remind you that this anime takes place in the beginning of the 20TH century- and too black)

I really like this wall- I wouldn't hesitate to use it, kudos to you! The only thing is the font- it looks a little off.

I was thinking about adding a rosary somewhere on it, but I wasn't sure if it would look okay. Like, should I find a stock image and just extract/clean it up, or should I make one in Photoshop? And if I draw one out, would it look better cel-shaded or soft-shaded?
I used that font on the sig so that it could be read easily. The sig should be covered by the taskbar so it won't normally be seen, but I'll see if I can get it to blend a little better.

I really like how the photo looks, great effects on the scan ^_^ the text is also pretty good. The only issues I can see that haven't been brought up are that the wood grain could use some more work I think. Right now it looks a bit liquidy, not completely convincing. Also, I don't know if it would be a problem, but I'm not sure the stock photo in the background's been modified enough. It looks very good as is, but I'm thinking it might look a little to 'real-world', and not enough animeish. Anyway, hope I helped some ^^
