This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

I just received my results and well they're alright but not enough for me to get in the course that i want. however i really don't think its the end of the world for me. neither for anybody else for that matter. I've seen people break down cause they didn't get in the course they wanted in uni but you can't just stop there! there are pathways. and plus there are other jobs out there that don't really need high scores.
I've heard that almost half of the millionaires out there didn't even go in to further education.
well i hope none of you guys out there are depressed. just think of the positive side! postive affirmations... ahh they always work.

Well, i don't know if you are starting a discussion or not cause you answered your own question but anyways.......

See, there are all kinds of people in this world and therefore there will be all kinds of views on this matter. Some people will agree with what you said, some people will not and some will just be neutral.
I believe that in most cases it is never the end of the world for that person. Because nowadays there are thousands of various job oportunities. But everyone has their own wants and desires which they want to achieve.

So, if someone has his future dependent on some specific job or something like that and he/she is not able to get it than that person will definitely think it is the end of the world for him/her. And maybe he/she is not able to do anything else. Although the chances of this happening are one in a million.

Some people really do not have to worry about this a lot because they always try to look at the bright side like you do. And so they can move on. But some people cannot take the shock or trauma of not being able to live the kind of life they imagined themselves to be in and so they take it very seriously.
It all depends from person to person....

Atleast that is what i think, please correct me if i am wrong...

Warm regards,
The Firestorm.

Well, I'm really depressed because of my results lately. They're just like... drop to the bottom, deep, deep, and deeper.
Me and my friends ( mostly girls, because the boys can still joking and laughing about their own bad results ) been through a period
of time when we felt really depressed about our results. It's really felt like the end of the world. Until now, I still can't figure out why,
it's just that... everytime I get bad result, I feel so sad. Maybe 'cause I think I have sacrifice everything to study, more than 5 hours,
while my best friend, who sits next to me, only study for 2 or 3 hours and she got higher result. It makes me feel so stupid!!

But after that suffering period, I ( and my friends, I think ), learn to face the results and accept it.
I'm starting to realize that my results are not always so bad. I also got good results. And my results are not always lower than my
best friend, I also got higher results than her. Try to think positive is a good way-out. When you feel it's end of your world,
you can't see some good facts that may help you to raise your confident.
But when you start to accept yourself, accept that you might not be a perfect person that can always get good results,
you'll start to be more calm to face the next exams or challenges. I mostly being so panic if I got bad result and it affects me when
doing other things. Negative thinking or panic only helps you to get more bad results.

But still, I admit. Really hard to accept bad results. I'm a perfectionist. And getting bad result is like you're already death one time,
(Yes, it's that bad ).

I've already doing the test for entering a university, and I made it. I'm really glad that I can enter a good univestiry in a department that I've
always wanted to. But I haven't deal with my Final high school exams, so I feel very afraid. What should I do if I get bad results,
and have to repeat the senior high school once again? Maybe I'm just going to commit suicide...

But lately, after joining AP, I start to think that I just want to graduate. Whatever results I get, I will be satisfied with it, because
I'm sure that I've given the best effort I can. I just want to be more focus on what I want to do next.
Getting bad results is not an end anymore. We feel dissapointed, but that's okay. If we get bad results,
we should've feel more challenged that we have to prove our skills are not as bad as the results.
The results are just a piece of paper full of numbers, it's not enough to represent our skills. We are better than that.
We can get good results from anywhere, from cheating for example.
Skills, true skills are more important than grades.

I'm still working on myself to get rid of this "end of the world" feeling. If you feel the same,
good luck to you. Besides, I agree to kurosaki88's opinion. There are a lot of person in this world that didn't get good education,
but they prove that they can be success too, with hardwork...

My friend's teacher say this to her, " If others can do it at the first try, while you can do it after the 3rd or 5th try, then do it."

Warm Regards,
Yuki

I have only this to say, if you got your final scores... be happy with them. If you did great, all the luck and support to you but if you didn't do great, you have to work hard to succeed in your target. It isn't the end of the world you know if you get the high school grades... basically, we people are still capable of changing what we got

WELL SIMPLY PUT, as long as you get a B average, you can pretty much conquer all routes possible. Getting most degrees isn't hard, grade point wise. UNLESS the person wants to follow a career that carries strict grade requirments (Doc/Lawyer), it's no big deal. And if your getting lower than a B average, you should look deep within urself and wonder WHY u're in school to begin with. might as well drop out and do w/e.

umm COLD regards,
Megaflare?

I think that a person is more than what an exam says...studying is important, but not the most important thing, i see people that live just to study and it's pathetic, we only get to live once and it's more important to have fun and live happy than waste our time just studing.

You're my hero. That's all true, but unfortunately in this crappy society everything depends on studies and exams. It's all calculated and coldly preestablished, if you get 1 hundredth less than what you need, kiss goodbye all your dreams and hopes.

My grades have dropped a little bit this year. Last year I had an average grade of 9.2, and now I have a 7.8...I only need an average grade of 6.47 to study what I would want to, but what if my university entrance examination goes bad? Yes, I'm very worried, I can't help it...

Sadly though most of the world judges a person based on their grades and so called achievements. As a result I am really dreading my finals results...but it's not like I will flunk out of the class, I hope..lol

Firestorm you had one superb answer there!

I did not achieve what I wanted to in my final school year but still got into University of my choice and study path of my choice so it's all good. Here comes the mock up in my case, I stared studying this degree of Marketing but after two years dropped out not because of bad marks(had an average of about 85%) but because I felt this is not what I wanted to do with my life it bored me to pieces.

Then I started with an accounting degree and this felt more like it, I enjoy it heaps more.

So in the end even if you don't achieve what you wanted to it might be a warning to let you know that that might have not been the correct path to take in life? I say it's not the end of the world if you don't get into the course or life plan you had planned maybe there is something else out there for you!

As a person that did pretty averagely in high school, who graduated in summer I can give you some advice.

Grades are just numbers, sure you're not going to get into Harvard or win a scholarship, but whatever school you do go to is your blank canvas. But its entirely up to you, I got caught up in my first year and it cost me the chance to graduate on the deans list though I still finished respectfully enough to go to grad school in the future.

Though the usual warnings go that grades reflect your own work habit and basic academic strengths, you can turn it all around but depending on you it could be a full 180.

Today with my degree in hand I can honestly say my high school grades mean nothing

Trust a guy who went though this a long time ago, namely, me. It doesn't matter in the long run but it does some for college. Use whatever you got to go to a good college and test out of wasteful classes. If anything, it's a jumping board to start anew.

Well, most people will think that way but it really ain't the end of the world if you get your results. To me, everytime the teachers give us the results for our year end or mid-year exams and if i don't score that well, i'll just give my a good punch on the face and say to myself: "Damn you, if you don't try harder, how are you suppose to achieve your dream?", head home, do some studies and check the mistakes i did.

Lately, my parents put me into tuition, so i can take my exam papers from this year and then ask the teacher for guidance so that i can improve on my weakpoints. So, what i'm trying to say is, if you've tried your best, then that's what matters most. No use looking back and regretting it. Don't give excuses to yourself like teacher this teacher that student this student that. All that matters (to me at least) is give it your best shot, and smile, always. ^^

Punch me if what i said is crap x__x
