This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

His comment was a statement. Not a question.

Seemed more like a rhetorical question to me.

No he was asking.i was telling xD

So basically what aki said, only more specific.

U can edit it and add the new size

°akiranyo 27 minutes ago
Ah, I see. So after approving is possible to change to even a not listed resolution.

^hatesyou 33 minutes ago
The first was a 4:3 wallpaper. The low res widescreen version has been added later.

°akiranyo 35 minutes ago
Kath: That means that the first was 1440x900?

^hatesyou 37 minutes ago
The 1280x800 version has been uploaded by the user as a first revision. Might pay to get your facts straight before complaining.

°akiranyo 40 minutes ago
We should go up with resolutions not down. Btw AP resizes 1440x900 automatic to 1280x800.

Interesting cross-dressing question

Let's say... you were an anime character. And you were in.. oh..say... high school. And it's about time for the big dance. You have no date. BUT, you have a friend who looks remarkably like a girl. In fact, he even has a feminine voice and a cute, petite, slender figure. A great example of this type of character would be Watarase Jun from Happiness!, Bridget from Guilty Gear, Peppo from Gankutsuou, Akizuki Nakuru (though it's debatable) from CCS, Nuriko from Fushigi Yugi, Futaba Aoi from You're Under Arrest, Konatsu from Ranma 1/2 and so on.. The list goes on. Anyways, you ~have~ to go to the dance. With a date.

The question is.. would you, as a very last resort, dress up any of those characters (who have appeared in womens clothing on more than one occassion) and take them to the dance? Likewise, girls, would you dress up a girl like a guy and take them along? I'd list names from anime, but that's pretty rare so... just give me an example. Oh, and just to add an interesting twist, they may or may not be gay.

Hmm... interesting but I don't see myself dressing up like a girl to have a dance, I'd get caught by the size of my arms. XD

No, no. The question is, if you had a friend who looked VERY feminine, would you take him out to the dance/date?

An example is..

The freaking huge image originally posted is now here as a link

This is a guy. Would you take him out? If nobody knew about his gender?

I'm pretty sure I could never pass myself off as a girl in any way shape or form. I used to know a guy who, um... dressed up.

I don't mean to make such a simple post seeing as how you put so much thought into it (I'm not being sarcastic.) but I wouldn have to say no. No dance is that serious. Not saying I'm against it and it wuld be stupid but it's just not me. If I couldn't find a guy to go with then oh well.

As ~DreamingShadow already pointed out, no dance could ever be that serious (at least not any I've been to) But if the situation really called for it and my friend REALLY needed to go to the dance, hell pass me the eyeliner please. One thing though, i don't know about the whole skirt thing i have pretty hairy legs, and i really REALLY hate the idea of having to wax them. I would probably mock them later because they had been unable to produce an date and thus "Brenda"(the tall girl with a mustache and a manly voice with crooked hairy legs) enters the world for a few mere hours. I'm not really sure, but i think it takes skill to look like a girl naturally.

and damn stop giving me weird looks.

Just as long as its a dance and JUST dance then there's really no fear or problem of putting my gender preference in question. I don't see why you can't bring a person of the opposite sex in the first place but only if you're heterosexual. If you're gay, then none of it really matters.

On a side note, I actually have gone to a dance (2x both on holloween) in which I was the one who cross dressed. I'm not gay mind you and I didn't go with a date, but I came with friends. The only problem that happened was that I happen to be very, VERY convincing as a girl to the point that guys were asking me to dance with them.

Once again people... I'm not asking you if YOU'RE willing to dress up. I'm asking if you'd take SOMEBODY ELSE who looks like a girl and take THEM out to the dance.

I'll admit that I'll crossdress. I'm used to it; I've had to do it several times for school skits. XD (I'm not a lesbian, by the way.) But I'm not sure if I'd actually crossdress and take a girl out - maybe if I got paid, and if a lot of people knew the exact situation, but the chances are still pretty slim. :/ Maybe if that were the case, I'd go alone instead. XD Somehow.

No I wouldn't. I would feel gay and weird/akward for dancing with another guy.

Wow, many people don't seem to understand the issue at hand. Anyways, I would be willing to take the feminine guy out to a dance only if no one else knows his sex, and only as a last resort.
