This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Unfortunately, despite the gorgeous next to last work that was their game Okami, Clover Studios was shut down by Capcom in October of last year, killing any hopes for any similar looking games for our Playstation 2's [cry]

However, I have read in several articles that the head of Clover is reuniting artists, programmers and character designers in his very own independent company, called "Seeds." Not only that, his team will be featuring an all-star lineup, including the likes of the director of "Resident Evil" and the producer of "Devil May Cry"...

Is anyone else excited about this? Because I thought Okami was a gorgeously made and well-thought out creation and I would love to see more games like it come from this company, although the chances of an Okami II from them is unlikely as Capcom more than not will hold the rights to it. Just as long as we don't see any more renditions of "God Hand" right? [shudder]

So Viewtiful Joe will go on to =/
With Clover back things will be good or maybe even better
Capcom does lots of crossovers so the other games may go on

What I'm hoping for is for Capcom to say that because neither Viewtiful or Okami were big money makers, that they would allow the licensing to be released to Seeds to create further sequels.

Keep your fingers crossed!

Dudes... Okami's rights still belong to Capcom. Don't rise your hopes a lot.

I really hope so because I want to see Ookami for the Wii. I think it'd be a perfect fit since the Wii's not big on graphics, and neither is Ookami, and because of the whole paintbrush thing.

I'm planning on getting Ookami for the PS2 when I get a PS2, but if they make a Wii version or sequel for the Wii, I'll drop the PS2 version in a heartbeat and get it for the Wii instead.

It may not be for a while though...from the looks of it Seeds is still pulling itself together and getting on its feet, but Okami for the Wii would be wonderful!

Although honestly whether Capcom or Seeds releases it, I could care less, as long as I can get another game ;__;

Seriously, I'd rather see Okami canned, than seeing Capcom hiring another development studio to make an Okami sequel and ruin the concept totally with horrible ideas and stuff.

Capcom tends to screw their own games doing that. Should I mention Devil May Cry 2 as a perfect example of it?

... another, more healthy and better, option would be Capcom to hire Seeds to program the sequel. Of course, if they'll ever consider to do it... considering that Okami did so poorly in terms of sales, it'll be kinda hard to see it.

Well, of course that would be ideal.
