Grandia III vs Tales of Legendia
Ahh, tis a clash of two great games, or maybe great games, probably great games.
I cannot decide, help me out here Ap.

They both look pretty good but being as neither has came out in the U.S. yet... Not alot of people have played them unless ya imported them but I would have to say when it comes out I would be getting Grandia 3 mostly being as I am a big fan of Grandia. Although I might just buy them both. :P If I ever have the money that is...
My opinion is kinda biased being as I love Grandia, but the other could be a good game... Guess we will have to see when they come out.
Edit: I see you are right...

I've had experience with Tales games, but yet have had the pleasure of playing a Grandia game. Thus, I'll be getting Grandia 3 before I get Tales of Legendia. I'll be sure to pick up both, but separately.
That being stated, I don't really have much of a feel for Grandia yet so I can't make a good call for you. I suppose you can wait for the reviews to roll in and from there, pick one.
Edit: Seems there's a new filter and repetitive characters are fixed. Can't type the roman numerial 3. Oh well :)

The reviews given thusfar by Japanese press lean toward Grandia over Legendia albeit not by much. As for my own preference I intend to get both so my decision is of little help to you.
Hates you ah, the opinion, I'm short on money so I can't buy both, but they both look quite good. I've been a long time Tales fan and a new Grandia fan, I just can't choose.
I am totally a grandia fan....i havent played "Tales" so i wouldnt know anything about that....i'm totally biased toward grandia for some reason...lol
Same here, I played Grandia series, but never touched Tales series. (since Tales Weaver is from a totally different series XD lol)
Well, I'm quite biased here, but from what I've read, Grandia i will be the best Grandia so far. Lots of improvements in gameplay aspects over the already excellent Grandia II system. The thing worth noticing would be the gameplay difficulty level. It would not turn out to be a too difficult game either a piece of cake.

Both games MUST be owned. Grandia i comes before Tales though I am a HUGE fan of both franchises, played all the Tales games and all the Grandia games (Including Grandia Exteme) and Grandia just takes the cake as one of the best RPG's ever. But again, both will be owned no matter what, it is a matter of life and death.

Go get both. Tales is a Namco flagship, which marks the 1st Tales series ever released for a PS2 in english, while Grandia i, what can I say? Does anything bad ever come from Square??

I'm buying them both, no matter what.
Actually Tales of Legendia is one of the WORST games in the Tales of Series. It IS quite good but Grandia 3 is overall much better than ToL.
Get Grandia 3 and be happy!

Tales of Legendia is the worst of it's series? Hmm, I've always admired the Tales saga for they're diverse battle system, hard storylines, and music. But I would've thought that those puzzle games they made were less amusing after awhile. Even though I kinda still liked em.
Now Grandia, it has a one of a kind battle system just like Tales, it has a strong storyline. And the Puzzles are just as annoying, but As I say it is a good series.
Now it's probably already been said, but add tax and pre orders and you have 120 bucks spent, here in the california state.
