Battlefield 2142
Who else has played this game? I personally enjoy this game alot, I like the whole sense of a battlefield with powerful mechas and highly specialized soldiers as a fps.

i play a bit here and there. i used to play bf2/sf as well, but, i lost interest in a while. i prefer the faster pace and futurist setting over todays war fare.
im a playing admin (policing abilities only) on the mass tactical servers.
im *MT*forever_n00b
Duh, because of my sucky internet I'm forced to play it offline or LAN with my friends. It kinda lacks lots of things compared to BF2.. somehow...
It is a great game, especially online since there really is no point to play it offline. Graphics aren't half bad either. Although my personal fav. is still BFVietnam.

KorganoS - what do you think its lacking compared to bf2? i just wish everything didnt need to be unlocked and you could unlock a weapon in a class after three class items were unlocked instead of a straight/set in stone tier line.
i really want to get the unlock hmg, clark shot gun, frags, sprint/endurance shots, lambert riffle, etc ... im only ~20 points from my next rank though. master segerant gold or something like that *shrugs*
i hate waiting for our server to go ranked as well.

Played the demo. Didn't like it. Just seemed like Battlefield 2 rehashed with crappy "sci-fi" weapons and vehicles. Personally, I'm waiting for Forgotten Hope for Battlefield 2.
Ya I play it but it gets kinda boring after a while and repetitive. THe weapons are pretty cool and the best thing about it is playing online and having the Titan war thing sooo cool how you can be shot up to it and blow it up and stuffs, expansive environments and all. Haha now that I think bout it...feel like playing rofl

I like BF2142 the best out of the Battlefield games. Yeah the weapons are sci-fi, but they still shoot bullets and rockets, not blue plasma. Mechs are sweet, taking one down ninja style is even sweeter. Stealing dogtags makes knife kills more satisfying.
EvilGerbilIt is a great game, especially online since there really is no point to play it offline. Graphics aren't half bad either. Although my personal fav. is still BFVietnam.
Yeah, that's a good one, it just sucks that unlike the other Battlefield games, in BFVietnam it seems you have a huge sign on your head to the AI saying "HEY! I'm just right over here!", the AI always seems to know where you are...notsure if it's influenced because I play on the 100% difficulty on everything, but it just seems too unrealistic in that sense.

I still prefer BF2 over 2142... I feel as if in 2142... technology has fallen :P
Besides that, the fight inside the titans just got to crowded and personally, i get lag inside the titan to much >.<
I'm still waiting for UT3 (2007) as an alternative more fast paced fps~

Since i can't play online, i enjoy minimal features of this game. And you know, it worse than Battlefield 2 if you're not playing online. So many features locked when you played offline. In Battlefield 2, you still have nice map and great play. But in this game, i don't think i can enjoy playing offline.
But still, i like playing in present technology action game rather than futuristic technology action game.

Personally, I'm so p.o.'ed at EA/DICE that I won't be buying ANYTHING from them until they publicly appologize for what they did to BF2.
BF2142 is just a mod of BF2... and it's a good mod, don't get me wrong.
What ticks me off is the fact that they just gave up on BF2 and it's entire community. Instead of improving BF2, adding more content, and fixing bugs, they just dropped it to make more money on 2142. Guess what.. the same problems popped up in BF2142. When they asked me for some more money to buy their 'expansion pack' I said "no thank you" and never looked back.
If any of you still play BF2, drop by http://www.warishellgaming.com ... they're probably one of the best run BF2 communities and full of great people. Or stop by the WarIsHell servers anytime!!

My i've been wanting play this game since i first heard of it..
but yet to do so..
maybe im just poor to pay for the membership or something.
but other than that...the battlefield seems like a good game...
but i usually play americas army. its free
but since the newer versions came out..i yet to download it since my pc sucks anyways..
welps guess that means i need to find something else to do...

Battlefield 2142 is a superb game that any gamer that is fund of first game shooter must try, once you have played this game you cant stop playing till you drop(if its your first). But the part where it gets dissapointing and tiring is the part on which you cannot get the promotion thingy/medals whenever you play offline so playing offline is just like playing 20% of the game. Its really a pain when you dont play the game online to get the promotion rewards such as new guns and granades.
