Gunslinger Girl!!!!
Ok, so i am a huge fan of this anime but i have only about 13 episodes, are there any more? and where can i get them? No torrents plz. If anyone hass it and could send it to me i would greatly appreciate it.
Anyway here's the topic. If you are a fan of this anime, what made you so interested in it? For me it was the fact that things like that really happen, not the artificial girls tho, i mean the way those girls are mistreated. Government doesnt care. It was just so sad that i couldnt help it but keep downloading more and more episodes. Thats pretty much how i got into it.

I think those 13 episodes were it...no more. They could've probobly made another season or at least an OVA....
this anime is one of those 'slice of life' anime which makes it so interesting...makes you think about life and the meaning of exsistance as well as whether the 'truth' is that important, whether sth being real or fake matters.

Yeah there are just 13 episode for this anime , it's too bad but well great anime for peaple who like NOIR

There are quite a lot of those types of anime out there now, that are dark and serious, like Elfen Lied, Serial Experiments Lain, and others
May be it will make it to another season or what just like imagineer said. is a nice anime quite a bit science fiction bout this anime but for this anime is too short for this anime GunSlinger Girl...just only 13 episodes...thought it can make it to 24 episodes? should be ok for that! :D is a nice anime i ever seen with a little girl assasination :D

I doubt there will be a sequel to Gunslinger Girl unfortunately. There just isn't an incentive to do so, and the originally intended plot and character development are already fully realized.
Gunslinger Girl is one of my favorite series of all time. As someone mentioned, it's similar to Noir, which is also one of my favorite animes of all time. I guess I could say I'm really attracted to quiet girls with guns. The authenticity of the anime series really attracted my attention. The guns, locations, and buildings were really authentic. I also simply love the artwork. Smooth, rich, dark colors. Totally awesome. I thought the character designs were awesome as well. All of the girls were cute.
As for the character development, I thought it was superb. Each of the girls is totally different in her background story, and you could immediately see how innocent the girls all are. They way the love their adult partners so much. It's so sad and twisted!
Music is simply awesome. I loved the music. I own the soundtrack and listen to it at least once every week. The OP is gorgeous and the classical is really smooth and emotional.
As you can see, I loved every aspect of Gunslinger Girl. XD

I was looking through the manga section at my local Barnes & Noble a few months ago when I noticed the Gunslinger Girl manga books there. I figured I'd give it a look considering I hadn't seen the anime yet, but was interested by the premise of the series. It is a good series with a nice mix of action and character development. You grow attached to the girls and feel bad as their lives are controlled as they are. It really is quite sad. Any signs of returned affection from the adult controllers is nice to see though. It seems Henrietta is the only one whose controller actually truly cares about her (i'm only three books in so i haven't finished the series).
As for the music, I have heard it and I agree, it is a good listen. Soothing is a word I would use to describe it.
For the record, Noir is my favorite anime of all-time so that might be what drew me toward Gunslinger Girl but no complaints now except for the fact that apparently the last two Gunslinger Girl manga books are no longer being sold here in the U.S. or so I've read online. I love gunslinger girl! i have the two dvds that are out & i dont really want to download them, because i started watching it in english, i plan on getting the mangas after i finish the anime. ^_^

I've been thinking of checking out GSG (only three DVDs! my wallet says "yay!") for a while now. I guess this thread seals it. XD Especially since I can get most of FUNi's DVDs at Best Buy for around $20. A whole (new) series for $40 isn't half bad. I might even splurge on the artbox, since I heard it has poster.
The artbox is really gorgeous and it comes with a silkscreen banner which is also very nice. Ive already got the third DVD pre-ordered, cant wait for it to get here.

I read the first three mangas of it and I love it (obviously, I wouldn't have read two and three if I didn't). It's thought provoking and rather sad. Two thumbs up ^^.
Ah, gunslinger girl...
I myself have just finished the series, after downloading it yesterday. I love how everything works in the anime.. Like mentioned already, the music, locations and basically everything flows nicely. The last episode was something I didn't expect really.. Since they were saying how their life spans weren't that long throughout the series, but it was nice I guess. And after watching the series.. I pestered my friend in downloading it.. And he better. >.>
