This band is really great, live as well as on their cd. It's probably not the most original sound, but it's still a great band. They have two cd's out, as far as I know, the later cd being the better one in my opinion. If you like My Chemical Romance and other such bands, you'd probably like this.
Eh, I hate to rant, but I listened to nearly their whole cd and found absolutely nothing original in this band. They sound like every other trendy high school emo post-punk band that is coming out these days, and a lot of their songs sound exactly the same and follow the same basic simple musical structure. I guess I set high standards for this genre though.

Well there not really original to be honest. There first CD was more like TRUSTcompany and there 2end CD they went more mainstream. I have nothing agianst bands going mainstream but I do like there 2end CD more to be honest. But the bands ok altogether. I dont have problem with them.
I've only heard one song with them (can't remember the name), and I liked it.. Maybe I should try to hear some more with them!?
All of a sudden 30STM are post punk emo? Funny, I've always considered them a more alternative rock band than "emo". Come on, just listen to Attack or The Mission and try and tell me that's emo. You're all wrong and Jared Leto rocks!
But seriously I think 30STM are one of the more original sounds in recent years, not many people combine synth tunes and guitar that well and not many people write songs as good as Leto does.

I listen to music for the words these days. I like the deep, abstract way of thinking these bands do. So what if bands tend to sound the same? That happens in every genre of music. With a world full of billions of people, it's bound to happen. We like who we like, who we feel we have a connection with. But when you're a true fan of a band, you can easily distinguish their music from "sound alikes". But I do love 30 Seconds to Mars, My Chemical Romance, AFI, and Taking Back Sunday. There's a million others that I love, but not enough space!

I used to be obsessed with this band, especially since jared leto is the lead singer XD, i listened to their songs like for hours every day. some were really cool, i liked "Attack" the most... i think that was the name.. hopefully =P
"The Kill" is a really good song.
