I don't really care much for yaoi, I get really embarrassed if I even catch a glimpse of some of it sometimes. I'm more of a shounen ai person.

I personally don't like it, because I'm a straight guy and all, but yaoi is really aimed for girls in the first place I think, so it's not really meant for guys to like, unless you're not straight...

Yaoi... Yammee~ If Shirou Kamui wasn't my god already, I would take yaoi as my god. I love yaoi, but aren't so big fan of shounen-ai. Usually shounen-ai -series are too... mushy for me. There aren't much of good shounen-ais I like. >_>

Then one day after I got over my shock, I accidentally opened the same doujinshi folder in my computer again when I didn't remember what it was... I asked myself after reading [or trying. I souldn't read japanese then]; what bad there is in yaoi? Two hot bishies in bed... Sounds... Nice... Veeery nice... x3 I hide my love for yaoi almost a year, until my friend - so wisely - went and sniffed throught my folders and saw much XXX pictures. he's just asking a question that he's curious about and he addressed it respectfully and not like "omfgz i hate gayz yaoi should be bannzored". a lot of what you wrote doesnt make sense probably because you said something about your dictionary not working but i think i get the gist of it. to some people yaoi is not watchable and its disgusting. what your saying is very much like "i dont know why pepole think anal porn is disgusting, whats so strange about watching anal porn? its not like anal porn are screaming LIKE ANAL SEX after you watched it." i'm using anal sex as an example because its accepted almost everywhere just like homosexuality. some people find anal sex disgusting, some people get turned on by it. meaning its not like we hate it, we just naturally get disgusted by the idea. whats wrong with not liking yaoi? you can watch yaoi and yuri, good for you but thats just you. some people cant stand it. doesnt mean that you should be forcing us to WATCH yaoi just like how we're not forcing you to NOT watch yaoi. same difference. and by no means because you can watch both yaoi and yuri makes you a better person than firefly or anyone for that matter. people are different.

YAOI is the HENTAI aspect of SHOUNEN-AI. meaning they have SEX. you're talking about SHOUNEN-AI which focuses on the romantic aspects without actually showing pornographic scenes. i dont know why you're bringing "homophobic" matters up in the first place because some people like something and other people dont. just because i dont like to see 2 guys kissing and having sex doesnt mean that i hate gays and they should all die, its just the matter of preference like how some people cant stand PDA (public display of affection) between 2 couples, some people dont like naked fat people, some people do, some people dont like skinny naked people, some people do etc. you dont seem to have too much of this "tolerance" you talk about since you cant "tolerate" "homophobes".


shounen-ai i dont much care for because i just stay away from them and they've been around in the anime scene for quite awhile now so i'm used to it. yaoi is just straight out disgusting (well, hentai/yuri itself isnt very appealing to me first of all). i remember but i was browsing an anime board a long time ago and some idiot posted a yaoi picture and she was like "hehe, isnt that shoo hawt?" she was banned but that picture's been haunting me ever since.

First off hoonster, no one is forcing you to watch anything.. People are merely defending the topic and expressing their ideas. You are free to have your own and I respect every right to that. However I'd appreciate it if you didn't think we were all brainwashing you.

Second, if I'm not to compare us to the rest of the animals created on this planet, should I compare us to.. oh say Gods? -_- Hampsters killing their young- part of the circle of life. Also helps keep the hampster population down. Humans are over-populating the planet because of the increase in technology and medicne.. Thus new diseases and viruses are born (AIDS was not seen 100 years ago..) to try and control the population- a result of overpopulation. Of course eventually we wil find a new cure or become immune, thus forcing the virus to transform again.

Didn't I just explain how sexual desires are a natural thing? only humans think about it because we're smart enough to. human virtues and morality get in the way of what's "natural". Can be a good thing, but you can't argue that the sex drive is one of the most powerful drive next to hunger and the will to survive.

Mothers killing their children and husbands? It happens all the time. Cannibalism? Happens too, even though it seems to be less common. Dogs humping anything? As if people never did the you-know-what with themselves or the objects around them. Monkeys throwing feces? Babies could do the same, but are stopped by their mothers. As much as dogs are supposed to learn that eating their own feces is wrong.
Seriously, we are animals, except that instead of just using sticks to eat ants, we've learned to use that same stick to do other stuff.

Homosexuality:
Gay anime and manga bothers me only because I can't see the exitement in watching a guy who looks like a girl love another guy. I don't care about the plot, it's not my kind of plot. I don't care about the characters. I don't like the artstyle, etc.
Lastly, I don't like romance.
I did hear something about "homosexuality in Berserk", don't know if it's true (and if someone does know, don't tell me, I want to discover the fact/lie by myself), but until now I like the characters, the story and the art. I shall continu reading it. Proof I'm not homophobic. (If I was, I would have thrown the manga away without asking and stopped searching for wallpapers.)
