No I don't read yaoi with crap storylines that revolve around sex. Once again I'll say that Im rather picky with my selections and only read it if it has a good storyline. Most of the ones I read has more talking and conflict than anything else. This way it makes the intimite part more rewarding ^^;
For this reason, I never really liked the Gravitation anime because it's too one dimentional. I guess I should pick up the manga since the mangas are always better... -_-

To my knowledge, Shounen Ai (yaoi) been around for ages. You can easy find Shounen Ai Drama CD from 10 years ago.

Yaoi is awesome, i only read the hard core yaoi, like naruto, tenipuri, and gundam seed yaoi, those are great, i love yaoi since i'm a gurl, i like reading it and its dramatic too, my friend was the one that got me into yaoi, i love yaoi, but i'm straight.

Not every single one of them tries to color code their outfits with their furniture. You cant even tell at times who is gay or not. This is true for both lesbians and gay men. I agree with what puppychow16 says. The stereotype of gay men makes me mad as well. First of all, not nearly all of them act like girls. Second of all, some of them you can't even tell just by looking AND speaking to them.

I think yaoi Mangas show sometimes the real and often very hard life from gay people. but it is very funny what happened to them, funny...

Another stereotype- not every gay person lisps.. -_- I bet half of you people couldnt spot a lesbian if you saw one.. Some of them happen to be the prettiest girls around. Society's stereotypes of gay men is highlighted only because of society's outlook on what a "Man" is. God forbid a man stay home and take care of his children while the mother works.
