Anime that makes you cry
Haha~ only AIR makes me cry so far..i cried harder when i watch the whole anime the second time..hehe~
There really isn't any specific anime that stands out to me as being a tear-jerker. Most of them have instances in them that make me feel sad enough to shear a tear or two, but I can't think of any that has had me in a torrential downpour of big wet tears accompanied by flowing nose-slime to speak of.
Hmmm i often watch mecha and shonen anime, so i think there are no animes that have made me cry...

Two movies came to my mind instantly upon seeing the title of this thread and I thought that they would be among the first mentioned. I was amazed that they have yet to be brought up. The first anime I saw that made me lose it was Barefoot Gen. The story revolves around a boy who survives the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima. The imagery borders on horrifying from minute one all the way to the end. The second anime was Grave of the Fireflies. Grave is more well known because it is newer and easily found at most stores. It follows a brother and sister after the fire-bombing of Kobe. Both of these animes deal with war and can be very moving and depressing at the same time. This is compounded by the fact that they are both based off non-fictional stories.
I cry everytime i see Elfen Lied last episode :(
I think blue gender makes me cry cause its got a happy ending.

Since i have only watched a few anime, there are 2 series that made me cry. The first one is "saikano", when Akemi died. The second one is "Kanon", when Ayu asked Yuuchi to forget about her.
Hi all. I don't remember very well the animes that make me cry, but only one that I am sure. It's the "Tombeau des lucioles" makes by Ghibli, or "Hotaru no Haka" the original title.

I actually only cried during Final Fantasy's X ending...I'm not that easily touched, but some scenes have make me very sad, for example when in Gantz
or when in Evangelion
Lots of people told me they cried when they saw Kimi ga Nozomu Eien's ending, but I only felt a little sad, I was expecting a little more.

And I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad, The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had.
For me i cried on AIR. It was a truly awesome story that you cant resist to cry! ><

Ive never atcually cried on an anime i always get very depressed after i finish a good one and i did get pretty dam close to crying on AIR and Kaleido Star but i never find myself actualyl droppin tears all over the place. i think its unhealthy tho when i finish too many good animes on the same day, i go into severe depression and i cant concentrate on anytin but drawin like mad! i even got sick , like actually common cold type sick after watching some, i just love my ainme so much and sometimes the good ones i just dont want to end.
So i dont cry by a anime but for me is the anime Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien a very sad anime.
