Hrm, I like Konata and all, but Kagami has my love. :3
Shes like , the funniest character ever for otakus , she totally relates to every single one of us , some of the things she does , going to anime conventions , planning out all the books shes going to buy and the crowds coming in , i would so do that if i had her brains , shes smart , but she only applies it to things shes interested in x3
She seems to represent at least a small portion of ourselves at the very least ^_^. I think that is what makes her such a great character, that as a fan of anime, you can really connect to her and see yourself basically inside of her ^_^. I've found a few times where I felt "I've thought about that" or "I've done that" when she talks, hehehe ^_^. Especially when she talks about other shows getting in the way of watching anime, hehehe ^_^.
I have to admit though that Konata isn't my favourite character, hehehe ^_^. That would be Tsukasa, as she reminds me of myself a lot ^_^. At least outside of how she doesn't watch much anime, hehe ^_^. Her seiyuu and I share the same first name, so that is even more of a reason ^_^.
I'm glad that I found out about this series, and I have AnimePaper to thank ^_^. Thank you AnimePaper for introducing me to a wonderful series ^_^.

I like Konata best in Lucky Star since I find her rather funny and sometimes I can recognize myself in her.
Konata is best loved by otakus as they can relate to her and she's the first anime character depicting the life of and otaku but female
I totally agree, Konata is the only otaku female character I know of as of now. Really love her expressions and the way she talks.

Konata is really cute, she was my favorite character from Lucky Star..She is funny too, and I felt some connection to her character..maybe because I am an otaku too, and I often speak about anime or manga and people don't get what I'm saying, I wish someone like Konata was around at times like that :))
She is a great character. The scenes with her on the online game / MMORPG were probably some of my favourites from the whole show. Because I used to be (and still am somewhat, but at the moment I am trying to stay off) addicted to an online game I could identify alot with some of those scenes. Like when she says she'll only go on for a few minutes and then suddenly encounters something or finds a rare and ends up staying up all night lol. When I was playing a game like that alot of the people I knew were in a different timezone so I often had to stay up late to participate in any group events. It's a time drainer. Also the teacher that also plays the online game and berates her ingame when shes trying to do escapism is funny. The way she reacts when she tries to play and the server is down is so cute and priceless.
Other than the online game stuff, which is my favourite aspect of her, the way she acts with her anime / manga obsessions are also cute and funny. Probably she is popular in anime fandom due to some people identifying with her in some way.

CDankutsuoummmm I kind of dislike her... Its like it was artificially made for the sole purpose of attracting the masses (male otakus) to the franchise...
I really have to disagree here. I'm a girl and I can say me and my friends can SO relate to her. We have so many similiarites that it's downright scary. :P
Konata and Kagami interactions are my favourite! I can never get enough of it.
