I also agree that Konata is loved by Otaku because that her characteristic is so unique. Who doesn't love a character that is a gamer even though playing H-games and an anime fanatic that compares every day lives with her world. And her comments are so good that you can't predict easily.

It's true! Konate is my idol! XD, is very descriptive with what they are today Otakus, Anime, manga, and besides RPG games that I also love, jeje. This in my top 5 of favorite characters.

Haha, I love Konata! Crazy fangirl. Strangely enough, one of my friends at school says that I remind him of Konata.. especially because of the whole "triggering flags" and playing dating sims, hahahaohgod.

Konata is Stratregic in competition
While she features in the funniest scenes in the anime, i would prefer it if she were wittier.
Konata is indeed one of the most loved girls in all of anime because she represents everything that her fans are. You have to give credit beyond all others to Aya Hirano for her acting. She brought out the best of Konata with her vocal range, amazing singing talent, and uncanny ability to be so cute it should be criminal. I'd say without Aya's voicing talent Konata would have lost a major part of her appeal. Konata and Tsukasa compliment each other in so many ways the friendship is overly comical when you think about it. The best example of this I found was, I forget which episode, but the sisters were sleeping over at her place to which they called up Miyuki who unintentionally reminded them of the class homework due after break. Then a brief but dramatic silence followed by a frantic scramble (by Tsukasa and Konata) to finish homework they forgot they had.
I really liked Kagami as well, serving as the down-to-earth girl as she is to try and keep Konata on her feet.

Yes one of my favorite anime characters. Her teacher reminds me of my art teacher who also plays RPGs. Ive heard he plays in class. haha.

A lot of locations in Lucky Star are based off of actual places in Japan, so you can imagine how many otaku go to look for these places!
Remember that one episode where Kagami and Tsukasa are working as shrine maidens?
One of the wishes reading "Konata is my wife" was based off an actual one in real life. I can imagine how creepy that would have been for the people working there....
