She seems to represent at least a small portion of ourselves at the very least ^_^. I think that is what makes her such a great character, that as a fan of anime, you can really connect to her and see yourself basically inside of her ^_^. I've found a few times where I felt "I've thought about that" or "I've done that" when she talks, hehehe ^_^. Especially when she talks about other shows getting in the way of watching anime, hehehe ^_^.
I have to admit though that Konata isn't my favourite character, hehehe ^_^. That would be Tsukasa, as she reminds me of myself a lot ^_^. At least outside of how she doesn't watch much anime, hehe ^_^. Her seiyuu and I share the same first name, so that is even more of a reason ^_^.

It's just a god. she is the sister we all want to have (mm, but then some otaku's rivalties will happen). the first time i saw an otaku that caliber in an anime (maybe yamazaki from NHK also, but that's scarier). konata's just moe.
Love Konata because she looks like her mum, because she's carefree, lazy, likes gaming, happens to be otaku herself, quite athletic, and so on ^__^

Konata's got to be one of my favorite anime characters EVER. She is just too cute for her own good! I cannot get enough of her otaku-ness, random-ness, and all those cazy words to describe her. She certainly represents a good portion of the inner otaku in all of us, and that's probably a reason why I love her, too. GO LUCKY STAR!

Kotana is my fav. Female character. The only other one that comes close is C.C. (from code geass in case people dont know)

Yeah, Konata is easily my favorite character in Lucky Star. Like the others in this thread, you can tell by my avatar. Ahaha.
I also do like Konata, because it's almost hard to believe it's Hirano Aya voicing her. I always like the look on my friends faces when I tell them that. They're always so incredulous! It's awesome.

Yeah, she's lovely :). But if we were in the same class I would sometimes be annoyed at her.
