Yep, Konata is pretty much the little queen of otakudom. I think she was voiced by Hirano Aya, the same actress for Haruhi Suzumiya? Her character was well developed to speak to the little anime/manga/gamer nerd inside us all, in a very goofy and insightful sort of way. Her quirky, unaffected personality really helps out with bringing the whole dorky package together into something pretty silly and saucy. Why can't... more girls be like her?

I love Konata, and yet it disturbs me that in some ways, I'm quite like her... OTL Kinda like a weird mash-up of her and Kagami.

The main difference between me and Konata is that I'm studious, but aside from that... I cosplay (have done Haruhi Suzumiya before!), and I'm not ashamed about my anime/video gaming err... "tendencies." If you happened to walk by me as I was talking to my friends, you'd be more likely to hear me say "Ohoho that reminds me of this week's Kuroshitsuji episode~" or "Oh man, last night's dungeon run was SO EPIC. We pwned the army in less than five minutes..." than "Oh my God! Did you watch American Idol last night"!?

I don't play dating sims, but I think I freak out my friends enough with stories of my internet dramaz and what not. I can easily pull an all-nighter. I once had the same wallpaper on my phone as Kona does (by coincidence. It was before I saw Lucky Star, and watched Haruhi xD), and I have a horrible history of keeping dorky ringtones (before: Sora Iro Days from Gurren Lagann, Still Alive from the game Portal, and currently Basshunter's DotA, about the Warcraft game). I used to have a horrible habit of gaming until past 3 am, and then would fall asleep in class. OTL

Physically, I look nothing like her aside from the fact that I'm a bit shorter than average. xD Although I do plan on cosplaying her soon (I was thinking her MMO form from the OVA)!
