Why does Every One Seem to like Inu Yasha?

Good question. I used to watch the series but stopped somewhere after episode 75 or so. But a friend of mine not only watched the entire thing but has also collected the manga (half of which came from us as gifts but that's beside the point. xP) I've always wondered how she could stand all 168 episodes and like 20 volumes of the manga. Personally, I found it a little boring and everything drags on too much. I don't think the artwork is that bad - I mean, I've seen worse. But the story needs a huge boost to it.
I used to like Inuyasha a lot before but then the whole plot and characters got boring. Some episodes are ok but I hate the ones with "We need to find Naraku!", which is most of them. -_-

I dont like it...i stop watching the anime cause it got pointless...i was happy it ended
I don't seem to mind it....the characters are pretty likeable and the storyline isn't too bad.....compared to normal anime series, it is a quite long series with separate stories in each episode but all relating to collecting the fragments......sorta like a pokemon I guess...I mean thats gone on forever with a similar type structure storyline.
Speak of the Devil, it;s on right now... The series is ok, but I also heard that it is going to go on for 500 episodes. And that's just, wow. I've watched it for lack of somthing better to do, but the plot at this point does seem stoped.
And your right with the fanbase. The majority of the ones that I know are preteen girls who love Inuyasha. (have you ever seen how many avatars that look like inuyasha on gaiaonline? Creepy.) Though it does seem that the fans have stalled in their growth just like the plot.
I know why Cartoon Network picked it up, it was extrememly popular and went on forever, just like there last hit series DBZ. So it was a logical choice.
I bet you I know the end too. Naraku gets the entire jewl, but is defeat by Inuyasha, and so he escapes by breaking through the time warp that kagome wne through to com to the past. Whith the locks broken, the entire inuyasha party goes through and battle narku. It'll end by kikyo pureifying the jewl in narku, weakened, he is defeated by inuyasha. The time warp starts to collapse and with kikyo avenged, disapears, so kagome has to go to the past to seal the warp, traping her in the past and continuing her bloodline back to the present.
And that will be about the last 50 episodes. I want mone if I'm right ^_^

Wow! is inuyasha really that bad?! i mean, ive watched some of the ep. @ a frinds house and they seemed kinda wierd to me. i don't think i was paying attention hmm... I have that one Inuyasha video game 4 the PS2 [the secret of the cursed mask].
But i do think it was wierd that the game was like "Alright! we killed naraku! We did it! what's that? he's still alive? even after that long battle he's still alive?! well what the heck are we doin just standin' aruond here 4 let's kick his but!!] and over and over again. but aside from that i guess the game was nice.

I mean, it bothers me sometimes, because I know a lot of people who enjoy that series. I mean, I really hate it, but I know people have different opinions. But it's annoying because it seems like every one likes it even though the characters are weak, I hate the art, Story line runs of a monster of the week theme, the characters point out the most obvious, there's no Romance, or just a little, I didn't see Inu yasha kiss Kagome once! The only thing I like about it is it's music and the demons are pretty well drawn, but once they have dialoge, it just ruins it. I mean, maybe all the characters who talk are just plain awful....
well, if you think about it, the author of Inuyasha is the same author for Ranma, and you know how long Ranma is, i think 408 chapters, so Inuyahsa has about the same style, especially, the drawn out storyline, and the very lottle romance in it for Ranma didn;t have that much , only near the end of the series did it really start appearing
I don't really like that anime.. Too many clichees for me. And maybe I also hate it because of this crappy german sub.
And because I don't really like the anime I don't want to know the manga. The only thing I like about Inu Yasha are the movies, but that anime show is boring x_X

The shows okai, but the anime series is getting really long, almost like dragonball to dragonball gt

Yeah,and i hated him when he said he'll take Kagoma and Kikyo-_-,,and its also SO long,theres ONE main evil guy, and the things they do sometimes dosen't even have to do with Naraku-_-,but....I still kinda like it though^^

Well inuyasha isnt that bad. i dunno for the anime but the manga is okay. the art isnt that good, but it isnt really ugly like other mangas i dont want to mention... the story is light, no really dark and overwhelming plot, perfect for a little relaxing read... i think the characters are likeable and the things they do do make sense, again unlike some manga where the character seem to have undergone an extreme personnality makeover... the main characters and the bad guys both suffer a bit and win a bit, the story advances (though a bit too slowly). its a good read

Most of my friends don't like Inuyasha they think its too shallow. Which I do agree. But I think Inuyasha is all about fun and a basic type of adventure. It's for newbies to the anime world. I think most people like it cause of the cuteness of the characters. I see lots of people liking Sesshomaru most of them are girls, then think he's hot. I for one love Miroku! He's the only real person there. He's such a guy! Hahhaha!

I like Inu Yasha coz you dont have to think about stuff with no logic what so ever, its fun so it doesnt give you a headache. The characters are cool and the anime is simple. The story isnt complicated so you dont have to use your head trying to figure out the deeper meaning to it, you just have to watch it! Sometimes its nice to take a break from complicated and serious cartoons (like GITS although its one of the best and legendary animes gewd work GITS team!) and watch animes like Inu Yasha. ARIGATO! :)

Since from what I have seen it looks alot like Dragonball combined with some creepy love history I don´t like Inu Yasha... to much can be predicted to easily. So nope, I don´t like it.
But then again, I have only seen some eps here and there so. If I find the time I might look at the ten first episodes and after that I might change my opinion, but I doubt it.
