Web Hosting sites...
Right now I'm using 50webs.com but due to loading problems with Firefox I'm looking for a new one. I've used Bravehost, Geocities, 50megs.com and Angelfire before, I didn't particularly like any of them. Which ones do you use and which ones do you recommend?
This is a good free one, I use it as a dump. For a real site, I use pay ones...

Cjb.net is pretty good too. It lets you host a free domain ^^b I haven't used it yet. There are only a couple small ads, so it's pretty good.

My experience had been that you get what you pay for. All the free hosting I've used has been awful - riddled with stuff like pop-ups, or highly restricted, or never working. So my recommendation would be to find somewhere you pay for your space - much more reliable and less restricted. But that's just me.

Yeah, I've never seen a good free web host. Heck, web hosting is cheap. Drop a dime and get something decent.

My good friend who hosts my website has a very generous service with lots of space, features, and bandwidth...but yes, you have to pay.

http://www.free-webhosts.com has a good directory of them. They update the most, and are toprated as far as freehosting directories go.
I think freewebs are the best but my site is a sub-domain site, maybe you should apply for one if you don't want ads, have alright/good designing skill and a knowledge of HTML

If youre considering on buying a domain. i would suggest http://www.globat.com/ they're ranked #1 from all the domain hosting sites. and aside from that. they give you about 10 GB of webspace. 300 GB of transfer/bandwidth, unlimited email accounts. and ALL that good stuff. i think its a good deal. and if you wait for those special offers... if you sign up for an entire year... you get a whole year FREE. they give you back the money in terms of rebate. but one year... thats like 3.5 TB of bandwidth. o_o haha. that special im talking about is happening right now. and if you got there too late. then wait until the next one just keep on waiting cuz they offer it all the time!
