My browser says "cannot connect to remote server" even though I'm already connected. With this, I can't browse any websites. This also occurs in Firefox and IE. How do I repair this?

If you are using a software firewall aloud the browsers permission to receive an outbound connection.

Like MADx said, it seems like a firewall problem (since you can't access the internet through any browser). What's your internet connection setup? If it is a firewall problem, you might have a hardware firewall (on a router, for example) blocking all your traffic, or a software might not be trained to allow web browser traffic yet.
