After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

I've seen all the trailers and the new steering wheel for the game and it looks sick. Unlike the previous games in the GT series, this one will have a clutch pedal for the stick shift players and it will be more realistic with online features and capabilities. And over 50 life like cars.

I heard somewhere that GT5 may be available for the PC. I bet it's only a rumor though. I haven't looked into the game much and I've only played the first GT game but isnt this next one coming out on the 360 as well? I sure as hell hope people don't play that game with the PS3 controller, I hate people who play racing games without proper peripherals.

Does anyone have a link to a site with the details of the new steering wheel?
Also GT5 is pretty much only gonna be released on the PS3 and I don't think PDI would release it on any other systems given their close relationship to Sony.

I might get GT5 some day, but, im not sure about buying another wheel when im happy with the one ive/barely use anyway. wheels are deffently needed for driving though.

ive to say GT2 was the best of the series imo. gt3, i thought, was nothing but more of the same just prettier. GT4 was the same in my book though i must admit i put more than my share of hours in with the group C or lmp style cars at nordschliefe. at first i thought photo mode was just going to be a new gimic. but, i ended up enjoying it and using it more than driving. oh well.

i will not be paying 50$ for GT5 demo though :-|

i wont be getting a ps3 until FF13 and FFvs13 are released. GT5 ill have to play first and see if theyve fixed the real issues.

i dont care for online play with wi-fi isp and no cable/dsl availble. i want more cars on the grid, ai that actually pay attention to whats going on and every car no to understeer all the time :P

Here's one that's really good and installs via USB:

okay:

almost every car understeered. why didnt torque monsters like vipers oversteer on throttle? and yes, the first thing i do is turn off driving aids.

an ai that was an ai and didnt just blindly keep to their lines and push you out of the way if you were on their lines.

better sound?

ES just said pretty much exactly what I was going to say. That said, I've been talking to a buddy of mine about Prologue who's been playing it with a G25, and he's telling me the understeer/oversteer transitions, counter-steering, torque steer, etc. feel much more realistic this time around. Not sure if that means much to you, but he actually tracks his Honda S2000, so he has decent knowledge of how a car should react on a real track.

He's not said a word about the AI yet, however.

Not sure why you seem to have had some problems with understeer because I've OS'd with a couple of cars and have avoided the Viper like it was the plague due to how difficult it was to drive with the aids off. I remember watching Tiff Needell attempt to drift with a M3 during the launch party and if people like Tiff Needell & Jeremy Clarkson say the handling is correct or damn near perfect for a video game it's pretty hard to say to say otherwise.

I totally agree with the AI issue, it's sooo robotic-slot-car like. Their AI was weak and PDI themselves said it was due to the limitation of the PS2. That is one area that they have a lot of room for improvement, now with the pending release of GT5 I hope they have fixed these issues and if they haven't then it's completely from a lack of trying to do so.

The sound is pretty damn good for a PS2 game although the tire squealing does get annoying after a while. You have to remember that they are giving us all of this with system that is less powerful than a Gamecube!

Meh. He compares drifting on a RWD sports car and understeer on a front wheel drive hatch. Hardly speaks for physics as a whole. Plus, Clarkson can't drive, so I'm not going to bother reading his review (that said, I do think Top Gear is the better show of the two; at least he's entertaining). Go play Forza 2 for a few hours, then play GT4 with the same cars. Or, play GT4 until you can get golds in every license test, then see if you still think the physics are right on. A brief playtest will leave a better impression of the physics than what you get when you actually dig down into the game.

Comparing GT4 to F2 is like comparing a pea to a watermelon and trying to decide which one is juicier.

No doubt the physics/handling are better in Forza 2, they better be because the Xbox360 has an insane amount of more processing power than the PS2 not only for physics but everything else too.

While the handling might not always be as life like as PDI would like us to believe, I think it was just fine. On more thing, how did we get so side tracked?
This is the GT5 thread :D He he he...

Ive played all the the GranTourismo games so far, but after the 4th i have offically given up on them. They dont make racing fun anymore when you race against the same cars all the time.
They need more variety of cars per races and less cheap AI.

GT5 will be nothing compared to the first two games in the series and of course can't hold a candle to Forza 2. Forza 2 is quite simply an amazing racing game, and GT5 needs to do the unthinkable and have their cars show damage first and second get better real world tracks to race on if they want to compete. The PS3 should be good enough to let GT5 try to duel with Forza, but if the makers of GT want to see if they can improve on GT4 then they're in for a bad game. Problem is the GT makers could only get the licence for some cars by not showing damage to the vehicle, but if Forza can licence 300+ to show damage, so can GT5. Point is I'm guessing the folloing:

Forza > GT like it always has been.
