Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

Omnidevil,

The behavior you are describing in your first post has nothing to do with Otaku, and everything to do with rude children who have had poor parenting. There is nothing wrong with being a head to toe, flaming Otaku, and I don't believe you are complaining about that either. The problem is that they are loud, thoughtless, and obnoxious. This has nothing to do with anime fandom, and everything to do with lazy American parents who are terrified that since they've left their kids with daycare since they were 2, their children no longer love them and so have showered them with praise and money and never told them NO. This is pretty common among all American children everywhere in the United States, not just the Narutards.

As for those of you who say you "hide" your otakudom, why the heck are you ashamed of yourselves. You enjoy an artform. What's to be ashamed of? No one is ashamed of liking impressionist painters. Be proud of who you are and what you like, regardless of who you are. If you hide in the shadows, you'll never meet others like you, or be able to truly enjoy who you are.

And as to the elitists - get over yourself.

Aye, it is scary to know there are people willing to disrupt the lifestyle and peace of all the people around them.

Oh well, there are good nerds, and there are bad ones I guess

Im a bit of a weeaboo only with my closest friends. I would never act so shameless in public (because society is stuck up).

I find it funny how people think im a really serious guy (they say my face is always so straight) but my best friend knows how weird i really am when its only the two of us.

I guess thats what they call "public image".

IMO, being a weeaboo, among weeaboo's, in a weeaboo oriented place is TOTALLY FINE. Its just that you know, its our business, so it should be our business. We dont need to include anyone that doesnt want to really.

LOL DATTEBAYO!! hAhA iM SO COOL!LOL CHIBI HAHA ROFLCOPTER!!

Yeh i hear you, i wanna crack one of these idiots.
They make me feel like an ass for watching anime.

But yeh, i don't think i have come across that annoying weeaboos.
To me they completely ruin the experience for everyone.

But thankfully most people are quite civil. It;s not just with anime
There will always be extremists within whatever there is.
That's just the way it is i guess *sigh*

Yes, pretty much like there's 2 sides of everything. I just hope the bad otakus and nerds don't ruin the good otaku and nerd's image. Not everyone is as understanding as some people are. *sigh*#(u_u)# emoticon

you my friend, have issues.
It is clear you should pronounce that you like something, but to go overboard in showing off what you really like to people who don't want to give a fuck, or cared to take part in what you are interested in? I call that harassment, if not entirely a form of cultural pollution.

Just like what I know to be the PETA, DO YOU SERIOUSLY THINK PEOPLE CARED IF THE LOBSTER FEEL THE PAIN THE MOMENT YOU BOIL THEM ALIVE?

well, I don't

- fact is, I eat lobster, lobster gets eaten, cycle of life, etc etc.

but yet, there we go, they take to the streets, from baring themselves to protest against fur, which is an apt demonstration, since I too dislike hunting just for fur, you should sell the meat for food as well.

they protested that milk in school lunches should be banned for being 'liquid meat'

they protested against the lobster boiling, which is the sure way of cooking it to preserve freshness, as they feel the lobster must have felt like living hell when it was cooked alive. (same with crabs and generally all seafood)

they protested against the habit of including honey in tea-making, apparently you are disrupting the social order of bees.

Take a look at their behavior and compare with what I call weeabooism, you like to support something, and you outright sounding your views to everyone, causing public nuisance and making an ass of everyone else who actually shares common interest, yet somehow offended by your public display of arroagance and harrassment.

One of may good friends sad sometimes: Then more and more peoples comes to the anime community, more chances that they will be Nice-Good-Otaku. Yp, She sad this )
«Otakuism» in my opinion is more civilian and peaceful hobby even others. What can do metalist (death rocker :) ) or punk, then you meet it on the street and say: don’t like yoг and your music? Answer is obvious, isn’t it. What can do anime fan, than you say: you’re Otaku, don’t like your child’s anima… Usually he simply ignores you, without any hard bodily harms ;) Most of my friends–otaku clam, worry, balanced, very rarely swear in public. Culture expansion? Whell, it’s for good, IMHO.
