Lockon stratos is dead for sure.

and chris & lichty die as well - horribly, graphically. i think that gundam 00 messed it up huge - you just can't kill the main characters.

i'm fed up with people getting away w/ cheap tricks, so every time the meisters lose/die like that instead of making a clear cut victory, it gets me irritated.

several other things i don't like about this anime is that the girls' breasts are too big - such portrayals construct gender expectations that are not necessarily true & shouldn't be expected.

and something with ms. sumeragi - she's single but she's not awful looking. then they show her in the intro song in this sad, lonesome mood but with noticeably huge breasts - they're trying to make a saint out of her or something but really it's 1 way or the other 1) u're pretty & you get married & you aren't lonesome 2) u're not pretty, you might not get married, but there's no pity for u. gundam wants 3rd option which is impossible/unlikely - 3) pretty but you dont get married & you are lonesome & you receive empathy

Ok first off , This is by off the Best Gundam to me so far , why ?

Not everyone anime can come out with a happy ending you know with everyone happy a such , the creator probably thought of that , Wing was a great anime , but the fact there were no deaths irritated few and made the anime pretty boring , same with seed , though i cannot say much about Seed since i didnt get into it , due to the characters all looking the same in my eyes

Well As for the breast ... get over it , they do that alot in many of the animes , Gundam maybe it was a factor for the characters , Feldt had that innocent cute look , Christina had the hot preppy type , Sumeragi ... well i dont know , but she had it too

and from the opening , it could be her feelings involving Celestial being , since the opening happened around when the Thrones appeared it could be the sadness she feels from what the Thrones are doing , calling themselves Gundam Meisters as well from Celestial Being and now with the Death of Lockon and pretty much half hew crew members , of course shes gonna be sad

Yeah everybody has their own opinion but this to me at least is a great show i mean this show was directed by the guy who also did the fullmetal alchemist and if you saw that you already knew important characters were gonna be killed off in this series and lets not forget there is still a second season for all you kno there might be a new gundam meister may be saji

Yeh thats a possiblity , but then again Saji kinda hates the Gundams right now , theres a another possiblity that he could become the next masked person like in everyone other Gundam series , him or Graham , cause i heard Graham is suppposed to die in the last ep [just a rumor] but theres a chance he could survive the attack and come back masked for revenge

I admit that I also think that this Gundam was the best out of all the Gundam series - I've watched 2 episodes of the Mobile Suit Gundam, skimmed over all 50 episodes of Zeta Gundam, watched some 15 episodes of Gundam Wing, and watched all episodes of Gundam Seed & Gundam Seed Destiny. It's really the action of the mobile suits that is amazing - in all other gundam episodes you just had cut scenes of gundams aiming, guns firing, and bullets missing. Here, everything goes in one flow as if there is a camera moving about the gundam in motion. I really love that - it's still not as good as Full Metal Panic! & FMP! TSR.

I think really it was the deaths of Lockon Stratos & Chris & Licthy that made me so mad. In fact, I would have accepted the death of Lockon Stratos - he was already injured badly & when that happened I could almost imagine him getting killed so that possibility was already embedded in my head. But why kill those 2 other innocent looking operators?

But at the end of the day, the fact that other animes are like that does not justify the possible wrongs/failings of this anime, just like the accepted fact that there are crimes but the fact does not justify a specific instance of crime. Then we can criticize those other animes for their shortcomings AND if they go about in racist (i.e. School Rumble! 2nd semester made fun of the Mexicans - comparing them to gorillas & making fun of their pronunciations - Ichijo! & portraying them in utter stupidity) or sexist or nationalist or imperialist ways -we have an absolute moral obligation to criticize them & bring them out. And only through our criticism can we change the entire landscape of the anime industry in how they portray the world. Well, so I love Gundam 00, but they messed it up in ep 24.

I think the entire point of killing main characters is the fact that even if you're a protagonist, or even support the protagonist, you aren't invincible. There are always casualties in war, on both sides, whether innocent of guilty of participation and/or in killing. In Gundam Wing, they didn't show this, and even though I loved most of the characters (For some reason I couldn't come to like Trowa no matter how hard I tried), I think some deaths should've occurred. In Gundam SEED and SEED Destiny, they fixed this a little but not quite enough. Since Mwu miraculously survive a giant beam through the Aile Strike, his helmet was floating off somewhere so HE HAD NO OXYGEN (or maybe they cloned him? 0-o). Regardless, though I would have preferred it that they killed Tieria, I was kinda satisfied that they stuck to reality instead of the make believe fantasy that "all the good guys survive."

Ummm, I agree with Ryokun on this. However, I do have my own opinion on it as well. Do realize that some girls choose to be single and just because she's sad, doesn't mean she's sad because she's all alone in the idea that she has no boyfriend or husband. Keep in mind that she is in a war and in Celestial Being no less. They were put under a code of secrecy, probably due to safety. She was not allowed to share anything about herself aside from mission related information. Perhaps your speculation is correct (which I doubt, but who knows), but if it is, I doubt it's her fault.

Yeah, that Gundam was just a prototype. Though I'm quite sure it used the Trans-Am at its highest, since the particles were rather whiteish, yet the suit itself wasn't red.

Nah, I doubt Graham will die. He's too freaking skilled and after the upgrades he's revved and ready to fight. Though I doubt he'll be happy about Daryl's death, he may need to keep his anger in check. But then again, last time he was ticked off, he severed Johan's Throne's arm off.

Episode 24 was just insane. It's so sad that they killed off Chris and Licthy. I liked those two. When the slow motion scene happened I was really hoping someone would shoot that Gundam down like in SEED but I guess it didn't happen >_>. At the very least the scene was very touching and well done.

Yes I was also shocked to hear someone complain about big breasts. This IS an anime of course. Size of breast are used for fan service so they can sell their models xD.

Yeh there death was just there , but it was still touching to me , Licht obviously liked her and she didnt realize what a special person he was until he went in and protected her from the blast , but its worse cause now Feldt lose Lockon and Chris who was pretty much her best friend , I wonder what Celestial being will be like in Season 2 .. or if they'll still be there

Actually, the reason I think it was a Trans-Am system now is because of the white-ish GN particles. Not only that, it had the same dispersion rate as the Throne Drei if you didn't notice the giant wings. No waaaaaay are the regular solar furnaces capable of this. Lest they get an updated solar furnace, which is unlikely, I'm guessing it was just a better Trans-Am system. Yet, it still had that unlimited capactity of GN Particle dispersion.

I also defend this stand point by the fact that we don't know who was working within Celestial Being at the time. The work force may have completely switched over by time we met our current team of Celestial Being and they just kept that system quiet.

But then again, Aeolia is a sneaky bugger. This is double edged as Aeolia, like the original Trans-Am, didn't tell anyone, or told very few he deemed beneficial for his plan. So...I dunno. XD

I think this series is hitting on all the right notes. It's a very human look at the war happening, and not just focusing on the Gundams. Having main characters die gives the protagonists a more human feel. It's easier to identify with characters that appear to be more human. They experience death just like everyone else. So they aren't invincible, they're just humans doing extraordinary things for something they believe so strongly in. It's what makes some of the most memorable heroes.

As for the future I think all of the Gundams will be destroyed and Alejandro will have his victory. Season 2 will begin after a time lapse, and we'll get a quick update on our characters. I think the world will go back to how it was, and everyone will start fighting again. And the season most likely open very similar to episode 1. Celestial Being will appear and intervene with some new Gundam units. However this time around I think the rest of earths forces will wise-up to what Alejandro is up to, and it'll end up being a combined force vs his private force.

I also think that Saji has been setup to becoming the Shin of 00. He's going to be confrontational with anyone in CB, and not like working with them. However he'll most likely be a part of one of the military groups. Or maybe even a scientist. I think he's going to have a much greater role now though, and be a lot more pivotal in the series.

I'm also curious as to where Ms. Trinity went off to. We haven't seen her since Ali killed her brothers. I'm guessing she'll end up with CB somehow, and be a torrent to their otherwise unified group. Maybe what she went through will cause her to change? Then again I'm also thinking maybe she decided to group up with Alejandro, and that's how he got that mobile armor. They still need to explain that part.

What makes me wonder about that was the GN particles. His were yellow like the Gundams. So I'm wondering if he used some of the information from Veda to find that mobile armor.

I wasn't expecting Christina and the other guy to die. I hope they don't start killing off many of the other characters, than there would be only Setsuna left, I'm exaggerating, since I'm sure this won't happen. I wonder what it's going to be in the 2nd season, since people are dying there might be new Meisters, and new crew members, plus the surviving members. Well I'll just wait and see how they end the 1st season, I think there's 2 ep. left? Almost done(ToT)q Then i would have to wait another season until the 2nd season is going to be aired.

Rumor from a confirmed list of characters dying says she'll be killed in Action during the last ep , shes supposed to go on a rampage , i just dont know on who

Alejandro , she might help the cause with Setsuna , are backstab him just cause shes crazy like that , but all i know is shes for sure going to die , these sources were released around ep 20 and it was right about deaths like Johann and Micheal and Ali Al Sarshes , but it hid the deatsh of the good guys in this series , probably not wanting to spoil to much for everyone cause comeon , im sure most of us thought Setsuna would be the one to defeat Ali Al Sarges , but why Lockon did was understandble due to what was revealed during ep 19

Which made it all fight , and his rage and determination ... even through death was amazing... his death still gets to me ;-;
