Hi,
i tried to request a new category(for scans upload purposes) several times now, my request was submit, but category wasn't created.
So the question is whats the possible reasons for that and should i get any kind of notification, in case the category already exists under a different name or any other reason.

Can you please tell me which was the category you requested?

Its "Tsukihime, Lunar Legend". found it in the scans category under sligtly different name, sorry.
But my other question remains: should i get any notification upon requesting a category, even if my request is faulty?

No.
You usually don't get any notification when you request a new category,
even if the category you requested isn't aproved.

I understand.
In that case, is it possible to add the rejection notification, as lots of manga/anime tend to have several names, and it will be an indication that the category exists under different name?

That wouldn't be an issue if people took the time to check like the FAQ suggests...

I think the category requesting thing doesn't work. ^^' Two weeks ago I have requested a category for "Kei Ishiyama" and waited a few days and nothing happened. Then I've asked a mod directly to create it and she did it. Yesterday I have requested two new categories "Eiki Eiki" and "Yura Artworks" (I think the mangaka is just called Yura) but nothing happened again. Is there a bug or something like that? ^^

It works fine. Eiki Eiki was created. Yura Artworks was rejected as its the name of an artbook and not an artist, anime, manga or anime styled game. The script doesn't generate notification so you'll have to use common sense and make sure to only request acceptable categories.

But I can't find the category for Eiki Eiki. ^^' Maybe that's the problem. It is created and only mods can see it or something like that. Is this possible?

Look harder for Eiki Eiki. It certainly exists in the dropdown. I'm also not willing to accept requests for a category "Yura" based on your speculation that the artist responsible for Yuras Artworks is published under that name.

Now I can see the category for Eiki Eiki. I've looked exactly at the same spot in the dropdown before but it seems I have to wait a little bit longer before it really appears. Thank you. :)
