Okay, here I am with a whole new first-version-not-completed-and very-simple-but-rather-good-looking-wall \o/



It is from an anime airing in France (and soon in Japan) "Oban Star-Racers". I used several screencaps to vectorize the character in Illustrator. She was originally holding her shoes, but that was quite not aesthetic so I redrew the hand xD. Then I used Photoshop to draw the sky and a standard brush to add the grass bits.

Well I know, it is *very* simple. I don't know if I should really add more effects, it's up to you to comment on this point :)
What I sure want to do : fix this translucent grass bit in front of the girl's shirt >_<, maybe either change the color of the shirt or add a design onto it, and add something in the sky (bird(s) ? airplane(s) ? moon(s) ?).

In my opinion definately change the grass in front of her but as for adding anything as i have not seen the anime i cant really suggest anything to go with it :S. It could definately benifit from something else added to it.

BTW nice job on the hands they look very good

Change the grass some, I'd suggest -not- using the default photoshop brush. And maybe to fill up the empty space in the top left put some text there in a font like Dauphin or italic Times New Roman. Good luck! You've got a great start, it just needs a little more.

I made a second version of the wall :


I added some birds to fill the empty sky. I tried to make some grass using Illustrator, but the result was not realistic (you can see it on the example above...). Sorry, lufiamanaelf, I decided to keep the photoshop brush I used before... :S
I added a lens flare effect and some extra text with the final name \o/

EDIT : I forgot to mention the blur effect, but I dropped it in the v3...
EDIT 2 (lol) : I forgot something in the v3 : I should rotate one or several birds, like I did in v2, cause they all look the same way >_<
EDIT 3 ... : Okay, @^|&# photoshop brush... there are grass bits growing in the air \o/

The birds are very nice! The text, though, looks out of place. It looks too grainy. And another thing, .jpg makes things look too grainy. I'd suggest .gif or .png.

I hope it is the last update. I've worked on this wall for 1 whole week \o/

Hmmm...I think you should lessen the birds...and you should really work on that sun...it's not good to use lens flare to be the sun...hehehe
