Nope, they still can't get over the whole "cartoon" thing with anime and manga.
Well, my parents are against manga because apparently, they think there's nothing to learn from it.

My parents don´t read manga, I am sure they don´t know what is it. I am spanish and my father only reads comics like "zipi y zape", "mortadelo y filemon", "asterix y obelix"... every typical spanish. And my mother reads very much, but she only reads books. She does not read comics or magazines. Probably some day I will leave them a manga to try if it likes them. Sure (sorry if you don´t understand me, I don´t speak english very well, but I´m trying)

My mom does, although I don't like it when she reads my manga because she tends to mess it up (I'm one of those people who like ALL of their stuff in good condition).

My parents..<-----read manga..ahhh..definitely no..I mean they really don't..I even think that they hate it..they will just say.."Thats for kids only"..its really odd when they say that..I'm not a kid anymore but I still love anime and manga..
even for just an anime magazine that I have bought..ahh they say..you spend your money just for that..

Nuh, nobody reads manga in my family apart from me!
Bit of a shame really because i can only really talk to my friends that also share the interest when i talk about manga because people who show no interest in manga dont know what you are talking about!

Hahaha this thread so made me laugh,because the idea of it is just so cute.
I think that if my parents were crazy for mangas as I am that would have ment fights for them!
In my house no one reads mangas and catually no one buys them,I am the only one who reads them and well maybe i would buy mangas if I could but in my country there aren't places where someone can buy mangas,there is only one and they have only a small number of mangas and usually only the first volumes and plus they are extremly expensive os I prefere to be in forums where I can d/l mangas of ocurse that means I have to be active too,because forums have pretty strict rules,soem of them not all!

Well mi dad .. read comics but not manga T_T but now he regonaizes the manga like the best XD i show him a lots of manga and his favorite is GANTZ, ... mi mom.. mmm is other case . they simply like's Tom and Jerry XD.. but in any case they dont told me nothing about this thing.. manga is the best of the best and i like it so much. amm my dad have some posters of mazinger z .. xD yeah the old one .. was the only anime that he saw ..

They watch anime but they don't read manga. I think they find it boring. (Although i couldn't understand)
My mom likes to read manga.. Especially something like Fruit Basket..
