This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

It's Toaru Majutsu no Index. It's pretty popular,it's just airing now, and it's only had 13 episodes come out and it already has 4 wallpapers.

`Bernouli 19 minutes ago
Is it a popular anime?

No, they don't. They're to busy... and they are reading more real books. Often they say i should read real books.

My parents aren't very open when it comes to reading materials outside of the school curriculum, so they don't read manga. To them, manga (comics in general, too) is nothing but a waste of ink, paper, and money that is better used for something else.

No, they don't!I'd like to insert them in the world of mangas, but I realized it's impossible,at this point...
However,if I'll have a son,I'll make him register on this forum and write in this topic "Yes!My father reads mangas!!"

I wish my parents read it. Then, they probably understand why I'm always in my room.
My dad would probably read it if I begged him too.
My mother would probably say, "Since you have so much time to read this, why don't you go do your homework." She thinks it's pointless, and has no meaning to it.

It is a pity that only me in my family read the manga magazines, but some of my friends do read them. However,we seldom communicate so that it seems that I am the only one who like anime or manga in my world.Luckly I can find lots of congener on the Internet.Do someone who like anime or manga need to be shy?I don't think so but when I am the only one who do that in a group I will be uncomfortable.

No, and I don't think that one day they will read only one of them... they really can't understand why I love it, for them manga are just a kind of comic, and comics HAVE TO be targeted for the brat, that all... and when I try to explain them that manga are not like that, they say me that manga are just books with violence and sex...
in fact that's not that they CAN'T understand what are manga, but they WON'T to understand it...

Hell, my parents hate manga, anime and anyhthing japanese realated. god, we're chinese for gods sake. they hate it when i read, and i hate it when they tell me to stop reading. it gets annoying, but i love them anyway. recently, my parents decided that it was ok, as i long as i buy with own money. they still hate it though, my daddy tried it once, but wat the heck, he put it down and said it was confusing, it was acually funny.

My parents don't read manga, they really don't even know what it is.. They just call it a comic book, and let me read it as I want to. They say that it is a waste of money though, and I am just buying "an expensive comic book". No matter what they say though, I will still continue to read manga.

They know what manga is and read a few but that is about it. What about you? Do your parents or anyone you know who seems kind of old read manga?

I am the parent that reads manga. Also, my wife reads even more than I do :P

My parents don't read manga, though that would be amusing if they did. Leads me to wonder that when I get older if I'll still be reading it when I'm 30. I'd like to say I would be.

My friends parents however, once sat down with us and watched an entire episode of Inu Yasha on TV. That was just weird.
