How does your friends feel about mangas?

I have two friends who like manga. Others don't even know what it is or don't care. My cousin prefers anime, though he has read a little manga because I talked so much about it, and he wanted to know if it's as awesome as I say.
Some gives a shit and few like it-

Ah well, in RL, I've got only one friend who likes manga. The others think that's just for little kids and a waste of time. Though, whenever I draw something in manga-style, some think it looks pretty cool. I already convinced some of my classmates to try out that style and they really enjoy it now. Maybe they'll start reading manga soon. :D

Most of my friends don't like manga but the ones who do are obsessed! It scares me sometimes. But I don't really care what they say...
Honestly, my friends find anything relatively close to anime (which they still insist are cartoons) to be irrelevant. I keep my interests to myself now.
Most of my friends in the class reading manga - even at school hour, when the teacher explaining something in front of the class ^^; They definitely feel okay about mangas ^^

Same with me. I don't mind at all because manga isn't my life or anything, and I don't need to be constantly surrounded by it. It's almost nice to take a break once in awhile =T I think friends are better for the real life situations rather than a book.
Most of my friend also love manga. and the rest of my friend doesn't like it too much but they sometimes still read manga (only the famous one though)
Lol, it depends on WHICH friends. Some of them are crazy members of Otaku and others are embarressed to go around with a manga in their hand. I think most of my friends either love it or just haven't found the joy in it yet.
I have friends that don't care about all the manga/anime stuf, they don't have a bad or good idea of it! but, if they don't care i don't think they have good idea of what it is, and all that!

The most of my friends just looove manga, like me.
So, i'm lucky. Some of them like shoujo, others like seinen and the most of them like shounen.

None of my friends read manga because none of them even know what manga is. Only my brother in law knows and he things it's cool (but he doesn't read them because he doesn't like reading period).

A lot of people feel that it's too dorky or nerdy for their tastes compared to anime. Anime is gradually becoming more and more accepted into american society so they are more comfortable around it. While manga has the reputation of american comics as being "dorky". I try to persuade them to try it out but they simply aren't accustomed to it. I hope that gradually changes over time.

I've only got a friend who loves manga same me, my other friends think I'm not cool because I like manga, (they're so stupid...) but I don't think a lot in that, I think that a person who loves... don't know, barbies, is not cooler than other who really like manga, I think everyone can do and think all he wants, don't important what.
