How long does it take to read manga?
I just wondered. All my friends call me crazy because I can read (the first time) a manga in 45-60 minutes. And once I've read it once, it takes less time to read it again... so I just wondered.

do you meen to read the whole manga or only a volume?
well, if its only a volume I can read it maybe in 30 - 50 minutes. Especially when the mangas are in english or in russian.

Not very long. you can go at your own pace, unlike the anime, if you skip around you will miss something.
I read each chapter in 20 min
so for a volume i think 1-2 hours minimum @.@
i take long time coz i just keep staring at the art ^.^ specially if the characters are well drawn

Yeah. It probably takes me about half hour to an hour to read a volume, but then again it really depends on what manga it is. Some genres, like action/shounen, really don't have that much to read. It's mostly awesome pictures, but if you're reading something on the lines of a comedy or romance then it usually takes me a bit longer since there is more to read.

I can normally read a normal volume of manga in under an hour. My roommate from last year, however took normally about two hours or more to read just one volume. So I really think that the time it takes to read a manga depends on how used to reading manga you are. I read ALOT of manga, so I'm really used to the way they're layed out and how they "work". Also, depending on how complicated the art is, it can take me a bit longer. For instance, some CLAMP manga has ALOT of really detailed, curvy, and line-heavy art in their manga. So sometimes it takes me awhile to figure out what exactly is happening in a particular picture. But normally, yeah, I get through a volume of manga in about 45-50 minutes. ^^ I love manga!
Hmm well it takes me less than 30 minuets to read it ^^ XD i guess you can say i kinda skim but i get the hole story anyway ^^;;

I usually take about 1-2 hours to finish a volume. I read quite quickly, but I spend plenty of time on each page to admire the artwork. ^-^

I usually read a volume of manga in about 40-50 minutes depending on the amount of text. Typically action oriented manga (ie bleach, naruto) don't take a whole lot of time to read. On the other hand manga like death note takes forever since theres so much said.

Normally i would take abt 40~50 mins to read a volume too depending on the amount of text. For example, school rumble takes me more than an hour to read because it has A LOT of text in it (i read the chinese version of it) while Mar takes like 20 mins because there's so little text and a whole lott action lol~

But mangas that have complex stories could take 60-90 minutes to read per volume. Death Note is one of them.
So for average time, i read 1 volume of manga in 45 minutes.
