This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

It's Toaru Majutsu no Index. It's pretty popular,it's just airing now, and it's only had 13 episodes come out and it already has 4 wallpapers.

Tokyopop ^_^. If it weren't for the fact that they publish CCS, I probably would say Viz, but since Tokyopop does publish CCS, then I am going to vote for them ^_^. I can't just turn down the company who publishes my favourite series of all time, that would be heresy, hehehehe ^_^.

Honestly, I like the way DelRey translates manga the best. They don't add strange accents to characters who originally have a different dialect to the norm of Japanese (e.g. Kansai-ben)

But Tokyopop and Viz bag all the good titles :| emoticon.

I actually don't buy any English manga, it pains me. My wallet could suffer half the burden if I just read it in Japanese. And since I can read Japanese, it's a lot more fulfilling to own a Japanese shiny, right XD?

Hmmm, Viz has the best manga...BUT! The quality of delrey is way better...I think Delrey is the best translator, but they don't translate so many good manga =X...
I think Viz has the coolest manga, Claymore, I''S, Death note, Shaman king, FMA, they are all really great =o.

Depends on the manga. I don't really care about the publisher. But personally, I like Viz the most. And I heard that Tokyopop sometimes have wrong translations (in .hack//Al Buster 1, for example).

Of the English manga publishers I've tried, I like our local CY Manga the best! They're ahead of America in many of the series I like and they have fairly nice paper with dust covers around the outside. The translations sometimes have errors but it's rare.
Tokyopop are a bit more expensive than the rest which is annoying. They were okay but not perfect.
Viz are my least favourite. They change the katakana sound effects into English and generally print on AWFUL, grainy, rough paper.

If you truely like manga then you would have to like all 3 of them...Tokyopop, Viz, and DelRey are all good types of manga titles...Love Hina, and Negima, they both are so good...

I think it all depends. Like what things you don't mind, what things you do and what series you like. Personally I agree with the person who said ChuangYi, 'cos they always have really good quality paper and pretty good translations. (I thought the translation for Tokyo Pop's Fruits Basket was awful so I'm glad there are Chuang Yi versions) I really like TP's (for the most part) cover designs though.

I have manga from all three of them though I like Tokyopop and Del Rey since Viz mostly give out sucky manga like Inuyasha.
