Millenium Snow

I don't think that many people have heard of this manga on here, so I wanted to notify all you fans of Host Club that Bisco Hatori has a (kind of) new manga out. Um... you can see what it's called by the name of this thread, Millenium Snow. Anyway, it's about this girl named Chiyuki (chi= thousand, yuki=snow, clever, no?) who has a weak heart and is expected to die very soon. She meets a vampire named Toya who at first seems cold and uncaring (but he's actually not!). I know it sounds a lot different than Host Club, but it still has it's funny parts. I would definitely recommend it. So any of you who know of it can talk about it here!
I really enjoy this series. I've long been a fan of Ms Hatori's art style, so just knowing this series was by her was enough to get me to try it. It has good character designs, both in personality and in appearance. I'm only sorry that it is an unfinished series, with only 2 volumes.

I've read this manga too. (Except it was under the name "A Thousand Years of Snow," which is equivalent to "Millenium Snow"... :P...lol) I really enjoy Bisco Hatori art style, I think it's very unique. After I finished watching Ouran Host Club, and read about 6 volumes of the manga, I looked up some of Bisco Hatori other works. The vampire (forgot his name... lol) dude (the main guy) is so cool! ^^ Again, sadly, there's only two volumes...T.T
I've read too! And liked a lot
, but (like everybody already said) there's only two volumes
... Which made me wonder what would happen
. That's the only work of Hatori-san I've ever read, because Host Club don't attract me

I definitely loves this manga, just as how I love Ouran before. Hatori Bisco is the BEST!
I read under the title " A Thousand Years of Snow ". Well anyway, I would have preferred to buy the one under the title Millennium Snow while I was in Singapore but it cost $14 ( I think around that ) while the one under the title "A Thousand Years of Snow" costs $7.90. Yeah, different publishing, different price, so don't get tricked minna-san! ( $7.90 = VIZ MEDIA, for everyone's information )
And by the way, Sennen no Yuki ( Japanese name of Millennium Snow ) comes out before Ouran ( Ouran comes in 2003, I think, while Sennen no Yuki comes in 2001 ) Anyway, it comes earlier.
And talking about these two series, don't you think that the male characters are a bit similar?
Chiyuki = Haruhi with long blonde hair
Toya = Kyoya minus spectacles
Satsuki = Tamaki
Kei = Hikaru and Kaoru
Yamimaru in kid form = Honey-senpai with black hair?
Well, they are drawn by the same author so what do you expect?
And about the fact that there are only two volumes, this is what I get from wikipedia
I really hope that the 3rd volume will come out soon! And so does volume 11 of Ouran

The series is believed to be on hiatus, as Bisco Hatori is currently working on her hit series Ouran High School Host Club. In a side margin found in the first volume of Ouran, she stated that Millennium Snow has not ended yet.

Wow! I've just read it yesterday! I'm so happy I found this topic now! It's actually first manga I managed to read to the end, so I was very happy about it. And the manga was great, it's totally Ouran style! Some parts were really funny! And I agree with BlackFeather about the similarity of male characters, when I first saw Touya and Satsuki (it was colored picture) I thought: Look! Kyouya and Tamaki! Kyaa... I loved Yamimaru in kid's form the most... kawaii!
I don't know about two volumes, manga I read had 9 volumes, but without chapters, there were about 50 pictures in every volume... and there was another short story in the end... it was a good story... I loved it... I loved the whole manga, lol, why there isn't anime too? It would be great anime...

I really, really liked this manga, and I'm glad if there really is a plan to release a third volume, otherwise it would be too sad. I liked the story and most especially, the humor very much. As usual, the art is fantastic. I like all the main characters, they're all wacky but each have a serious side to them as well. Chiyuki is really amusing.
SPOILER (click to view)I really want to read more of this work. It's very recommendable to read.
Yes as Genso said, can anybody tell us where we can read this on the net? I'm a big fan of Ouran so it would be fantastic to read more of Hatori-san's work. Sounds really good too...

Yes this manga is on hiatus, though I was really pining for it. But I guess Host Club just took the toll and the author decided to work on the bigger series that's being well received by fans.
I read the first 2 volumes already and praying that the story could stay in tact and won't disappoint me with some dragged out storyline.

I would love that!

Millennium Snow was originally a one-volume manga. However, Bisco Hatori recently returned to it to expand on the story.
Personally, I wish she would have left it well enough alone. I loved the first (original) volume. The second volume... dear god. Not another vampire/werewolf/human love triangle

I agree. The first volume had a good enough ending. I think it suffered from having another volume published, really. And worse yet, it didn't even really finish... the second volume left readers on a big cliffhanger.
