Blah, blah, I'm stupid, blah, blah.. thats what I hear when someone starts to debate how HORRIBLE is it have an abortion, I disagree. Why does it matter what someone els does to there body that in no way whatsoever effects yer body? How do these anti-abortion groups have ANY right to tell people what to do to their own body's? I dont agree with abortion at all... there are cases where i would have to agree tho... because of debates with other people before and now i have heard other sides... my side being that it is murder and that people shouldnt kill babys for nothing... it is pointless ... it isnt birth controll and it hurts your body, sometimes you could die from it... all that is alright... but there side consists of the people that got raped or were incestually abused... and have some random guys child or their fathers child...
in the case of incest that child could be very mentally retarded so i do agree in this case only... for the guy that raped you... hiv might run off onto the kid... but there are more and more ways to start curing it nowdays... and at young ages ... and if you arent ready you can put him up for adoption... even though parents might not adopt him because of the STD... it would cost a lot for medicine

Nah, seriously, I think it depends, like everything else. Some girls DO have consensual sex irresponsibly and end up pregnant... Okay these girls should get beat the crap out of them (metaforically of course ^^U) because they probably didn't use any kind of protection or used it incorrectly (or so on). but how about those women who got raped? Adoption is a sure possibility, but usually families find a very significant connection through blood, I'm sure giving up a baby is hard... Besides there are LOTS or children who are just waiting in orphanages to get adopted... and never do.

So in short i'm in this place:
1- Abortion should be accessible and not restrained to ALL cases by a law.
2- There should be consideration for both the baby and the mother if no abortion is done (or it's going to be done)

Of course, considering each case separately is quite a task, more like impossible... Oh well, nothing is perfect, but I think abortion should be accessible to the community, whether we like it or not.

Well maybe you're right in some cases abortion is wrong... but how can you know what a woman goes through when she is raped? or when she has an unwanted pregnancy? what if she is fourteen, gets raped and gets pregnant? not a nice view, really. What if she was your sister?

About having the rapist's baby... that can be quite a blow to the brain, some can do it... some can not. Remember, a raped woman is a victim, whether or not she can handle having the baby of a complete stranger (and a shame to society that he is) when she may not even be prepared is her choice. Anyway, Roe vs Wade has already established the right to abortion already. I believe that it is a matter of individual choice. Please do argue about this topic rationally and not turn this topic into a slugfest.

Do you know that most victims of rape are mentally disabled people who surely wear baggy clothes most of the time? That argument that they brought it upon themselves is common, but flawed...

That's bad territory to tread in. Rape can't be justified, period. Why you would even say something like that is beyond me, really man.

Abortion? Well, I've always been raised as a conservative, Roman Catholic, and if anything has rubbed off from that, it's that Abortion is fundamentally wrong. At the very basic level, it's killing a child. That thing in there is a certified human being in development, denying that is plain ridiculous.

However, that is as far as my stance on the subject goes. I'm not about impressing my beliefs on anyone for any reason, and I expect them to do the same. If you want to get an abortion because you had sex without being responsible about the act, fine. I'm not going to stop someone if they feel that's the best course of action.

There's compelling arguments for each sides, each more profound than its predecessor. Hear out both sides and make an informed decision. What it comes down to, is basically:

If you're against killing children, Pro-Life

If you're for making your own choices in life, Pro-Choice.

The wording is key there. Being Pro-Choice doesn't necessarily mean you're "For killing pre-mature babies", it just means you'd rather have options should a situation occur where it would be relevant.

I think a baby is a human being when it is able to live without help so no medical things and so on! And if you are being raped i would abort as i could never love this child and maybe will allowe someone to adopt it or give it to a child house and that would be no good!
And i also would abort if my child will be handicapped as i now how cruel kids can be and i don't want my child to be treated like something not worth living so why don't avoid it feeling such things? Also it sounds cruel it is a act of love to my mind as i would feel sorry for ma child all the time but i know it has got a better live in heaven then on earth!
