i don't think it's inappropriate a life's a life. youre saying it's ok to starve to death but it's wrong to have abortions cause a life is being unrightfully killed. that's not fair.

anyway what makes abortions so unrightful? because they didn't get a chance to live? not being asked if they wanted to die or not?
my mom had a abortion. can't say i was happy, but who am i to say if it's wrong or not, cause it's not for anyone to say. it was my mom's baby and it was her decision and i support her. why should other people care, it's not like it's their baby.

Since a new year is going to start .. this topic just jump into my mind... many people who made mistakes,.. babies had never celebrate christmas or anything, they could be president, fist ladies, astronauts or the guy who discovers the cure od AIDS and HIV... usually they are girls (teenegers) that don't know what to do and don't take the responsabilities of their actions came to this stupid method, ABORTION, but when exactly you kill the baby i mean... when you can call it an abortion?

I dissagree with abortion, it's like killing a living person to me...

I think abortions are cruel, and when someone gets rapes..its not their fault. it depends on a person if they wont to abrot the baby or not, there can be differnt ways of thinking...some people may think that its better to have the child and put them into loving homes, while others may agree to abort them. its kind of a balanced argument

I personally think aboriton is wrong just because i'm christian....and i dont know when a soul enters a body....so to be safe i'll assume that it happens right when the sperm hits the egg.....i do have a friend who is for abortion with the position that the government should not be able to tell people what to do with the baby.....that it is more the womans decision than the governments.....its an interesting take on it......

Abortion, woman's irresponsible solution to not wanting a baby. There are good parts about abortion and there are bad parts, i'm going to name the main ones that are popping into my head right now:

Good:
Less Poverty
Less Death Rate

Bad:
Killing innocent lives

Instead of arguing whether abortion is good or not, lets start having more responsible mothers!

I think that it should be the person's choice whether or not she gets one or not. Although it may teach some irresponsible teenagers a lesson from not getting one and having to raise a child, I think that people deserve another chance. I think that the number of pregnancies from not using protection can be lessened by teaching teenagers to be more responsible when it comes to things like sex. As for victims of rape, they should always have the option to get one, I feel it would be very wrong to make someone give birth to a child that is a product of it. I feel that no matter what your stance is on this issue, you don't have the right to tell other people what to do about it.
Just my two cents.

I'm for abortion. I believe that a child feeling neglected and unwanted while growing up is 10x worse than having never been able to grow up to experience this. Then there's also early signs of mental and physical incapacities that will effect the child's future in society. Also, I wont even mention what rape victims might feel about their unborn child and their attempts to prevent its birth or even the experiences the child might receive after its birth. Then some would argue that being adopted would solve this matter, however, since when is it right to govern the bodies of other women? Also no matter what you argue, people with disabilities are not treated equally in job hirings or even as they go down the street. The parent cannot be there to always protect, nuture, and feed the child and will eventually leave the earth, leaving the child on his/her own. I think it will be the hardest on the parents, especially the moher, who may look selfish for wanting to live her life without having to care for a child she knows will not be able to provide for themself in the future, but not everyone is rich and can afford to bring up a child with intensive special needs- much less ensure that they have a good future after they have passed.. Although medical advances and technology has made childbearing more succesful nowadays, women still risk a lot giving birth. People argue that killing something living and most importantly a "human life" is simply inhmane, however I have to ask what makes human beings different from other animals on earth? Is it our intelligence or can we simply not kill our own kind without remorse? If it's intelligence, a baby is no more responsive to touch, love, care, etc to a dog is. If it's because of the fact that humans are the most important creatures on earth and should be recognized as an entity seperate from the rest of the animal kingdom, then why is there war? A human's life is certainly different from a roach's life, however in the end we can both be seen as plagues to the planet- spreading without control or end unless we either kill ourselves in war, overpopulate ourselves and die off from another mass plague, etc.. Here we're trying to preserve a life that hasn't develop self-awareness yet, and yet we are killing off mass populations of people that have developed not only awareness but ties to familes, friends, and the rest of the world. Then I can ask do species such as dogs, cats, pigs, whales,cows, and chimpanzees, etc have self-awareness? Because other than intelligence and self-awareness, we dont really differ from other animals. They have basic emotions too. So unless youre an animal activist, vegetarian, against every war no matter what its issues are, and against abortion, you cant really be against abortion without conflicting with another issue of "life". People may hate me for looking at life as being so cheap, but to me, what makes a person human is the stage of development of their mind. Personally, I would not abort a child I bear if Ive been pregnant for over about 4 months. I feel that it is most "humane" at the earliest stage possible. However, I would not fight against a person who decides out of the blue to abort it at that stage.

Abortion is a REALLY touchy subject... and there are pors and cons to both sides but i believe that it should be the woman's individual choice in the end...

if you are strictly against abortion then don't have an abortion, and you can tell everyone that is your belief and that is just how it is... but just b/c YOU feel that it's illegal doesn't mean you should be able to force upon another person your beliefs ((like no gays in the military or no gay marriage, etc)) it's not happening to YOU, so just don't worry about it...

i think it would be too hard to fairly regulate "abortion" to make both sides fairly content.. my problems with regulating are...
--rape that results in pregnancy. granted it's still partly your child, as a ((especially)) first-time mother i would think that seeing the face of your rapist in your own child would be frightening and would keep you from EVER getting over it. which could result in abusing the child and having it live through a very tough life, and even just carrying it to term to give it away would be tough...
--hurting oneself could result if it's illegal. b/c if a person REALLY wants to get rid of a child then they will, and a self-abortion could result in killing the person as well...((by bleeding to death, stabbing too far, etc))

i would definately just give each individual their own choice as to getting an abortion.. my only vice on abortions is that there should be a limited "window" to allow an abortion.. a certain amount of weeks, whatever.

but with abortion, it's always somewhat altered when it's thru your own eyes. you may be against it, but when you're raped then you may change your mind. you may be for it, but then having your own kid may make you totally against it.

Well its partly the girl's fault for having underage sex or so. It is there fault for having sex in the first place and not thinking about the concques(sp) I read in a newspaper that this mother had an Abortion and regreted it. So if I was them I would keep the baby.

well, so to say: i am pro death penalty but i hate abortion.

first off, abortion is either due to sexual irresponsibility, financial problems, people who are not in a favorable lifestyle and circumstances, wrong position of pity, and the like. though i can sympathize with those who are financilly-distressed and those who have a bad lifestyle. nevertheless, someone else's death should not be paid here. abortion is never justifyable and never lawful. it violates the liberties of the unborn child and takes away the right for the child to at least have a sip of life.

i mean just imagine if you are the child...

well thats the thing most people that are pro death penaty are tend to dilike abortion and most people that dilike the death penalty are for abortion
