Anyone play Halo?
I'm a big fan of Halo and I totally kick ass in it. Anyone else play?
I play it, the game is a little overrated in my opinion but I still enjoy it. Not my favorite First person shooter of all time but it's up there.

Its the best fps ive played...except maybe half-life and its derivatives. although i think ive spent more time playing halo than any other game. and now when i play any othe fps such as say...perfect dark zero, they're just not fun anymore.
I rented it for a while, I know that I'm going to enrage a lot of people but it was the crappiest game I've played this generation. It was really mediocre and just plain boring, run around, shoot, sneak around tunnels, shoot some more. Granted, I didn't get too far but I couldn't really be bothered with progressing further. The only things I liked were the lighting and the speech from those little dudes.
Does it get better later on or just stay as good as the first level?

its pretty much as you say. and i agree... halo is pretty overrated, there are tons of great FPS that are for the PC already.
the reason why halo got popular is because of easy accessiblity to the general public. and if you compare cost of a badass computer system (that is need to power the new games) and an xbox... will yea.. xbox is cheaper. so people that could never play (or rather afford) the good PC FPS they got their hands on halo. its all about money really. thats how halo got popular.
the only console FPS i ever liked were golden eye, perfect dark FOR THE NINTENDO64 ONLY! i have to say, nintendo 64 was the only console that made a controller worth playing an FPS with. other than that just stick with PCs. (halo is out on PC too so...)
hahaha i think im going off topic and doing comparisions with xbox and pc with FPS...

I also like Halo and Halo 2. Halo was first fps for xbox but still it's the best fps. Can't wait Halo 3 or the movie.
What's everyone's gamertags if you play 2 online? i've been itching to play people for awhile now... but yeah i love halo.. mainly 1 b/c 2 is more um.. noob friendly XD

i was at a party once nd we had to xboxs nd two tvs we were bout to set up an eightman game
woot it wouldve rock but the owner of the houz was like we would short circut
or suttin, suks but neway i was playin wit my frends once
nd i was usin the plasma sword, my fav weapon
we pumped out 50 kills to 23 (it was team battle)
by far the best kill was when my frend was on a rock shootin at me, i ran out
wit my plasma sword, jumped up nd slashed the life out of him

Halo 1 and 2 are my favorite games for xbox (after Ninja Gaiden that is) and I am still waiting for Halo 3

I don't really care for FPS games, probably because I really, really stink at them, but I played both Halo's. I couldn't get into the game by myself, but after I got a buddy to come over and we started playing the campaign together, I've gotta say I did enjoy that. I've been trying to find some nice co-op games for years now, so yeah... I'd say it's a good buddy game. Can't speak in terms of FPS' in general, clearly. But, that Brute Force game on the Xbox seems to be pretty similar, control-wise.
I used to play Halo 1 a lot, when it was released. Sure, the game didn't break anything or made me say "OMG BEST GAEM EVURR!!!!111111", but it was one of the funniest FPS' I've played since Perfect Dark.
-Very simple control scheme. You could play decently in only 20 minutes.
-Legendary mode is stupidly hard :P
-I liked the "only 2 weapons at a time" restriction. It surely forces you to choose your weapons more wisely.
-IT HAS A GOOD STORY. And such thing is strange in a FPS. Yeah, let's admit it, most FPS series have a really pointless (or non-existant) plot.
-The Master Chief is charismatic, and I still like him.
-The music is excellent. I still love to listen to Halo's main theme.
-Really fun multiplayer, and well-planned maps. Accesible to experts and newbies.

I'll probably buy the Halo pack (including the 2 main games and the multiplayer maps for Halo 2) in a near future. Hey! It's 50USD, the price is completely worth it.

Ooh. Well, I don't own the game, but I do play it sometimes. Though I'm kind of sucky when it comes to perfectionalism...still, I have some luck and some sense to actually do well. >___>

Uau! This one of the best games i have played!! The history is very interesting and the graphics is amazing!! And the physics is perfect! (well... taking off the part about masterchief jump like in the moon...) But... is wonderful! I simple vitiated in this game!!
I still didnt have the possibility to play the multiplayer mode... T^T But one day i gonna play!! xD
This game give me moments that will not be forgotten!! I in the way of one shoot out, and finishes the bullets and you exchange of weapon but it's not for that moment, and you runs and tries to hide yourself and a lot of enemies behind you, and you play a garnet and go flying piece of enemies for all the sides! wow! I love this!

Yea i play for hours on end on Xbox live...its getting boring though with all the noobs, they are just too easy to snipe. anywayz it is truly a great game
