This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

Thats the topic and it pretty much describes itself...have you ever had a class where the teacher was a) completely opposite of what you'd expect b) told you something about life that changed the way you look at things
or something to this extent

I have...my bio teacher told me that the colors I see (like the green grass) are actually every color but green. They just get rid of the green light and that is what we see...or like if I wear black then I'm not really there, its just the objects around me that given me shape...

This is cruel because I was alittle paranoid already...now I'm just plain scared...and to top it off I have a study hall where the teacher is a teacher in the human mind (like with pictures on the freaky pictures topic here)...my brain hurts and I want to hide in a corner...

What your teacher said is partly true, but don't let it mess with you =)
Green is green and black is black.

Yeah... We're now doing a unit in my heath class on mental health. We're discussing the major disorders and all that kind of good stuff... I now realize just how many actual mental illnesses i really have. And there are some that I wasn't even aware that it was an illness! It's so friggin screwed up.

Not only that, but basically, according to all the studies and things by super-special-scientist-people-who-have-no-lives-or-porno, I'm basically screwed in ever regaining mental health through my entire life.

Isn't health class great?

That's a cool teacher you got there.
My Physics teacher was a soccer maniac. He even bet with his student, and put question about soccer on the test. Our results were pretty much decided on his mood, and it drastically change if the team (its Juventus) he fan loses.

Well my Science teacher once told me that if you wear darker colors they make you warm and if you wear lighter colors they make you cool...like in the summer time, you shouldn't wear dark things because it makes you hot. And Vice Verca for winter time. I was told that in Grade 3 and I still haven't forgotten it o.O And it always bugs me-whenever I want to wear something, I think of the weather outside, and the shade of the clothing.

Uh... actually there has not been any teacher who has changed my viewpoints in life, important issues, etc. ... i've perhaps learned many things from them, but when it comes to important societal issues, my viewpoints/opinions about them have generally remained the same.

Grass is green because it absorbs all colors except for green. What your teacher said about black absorbing all colors is only true for an ideal blackbody absorber, which does not exist.

Oh there has been many things my teachers have said to change my views on things.....but now to remember some....well I can't really think of any, but I have this one teacher thats like really screwed up!...well she likes to talk about sex and every book we've read has somebody die in it and a couple were sexual....and she was talking with a girl that used to be my friend about people and work and without knowing it she completely put down my mom, basically saying that people that are poorer aren't actually trying to make things better and they aren't working hard enough.....that made me mad, because my mom works her ass off!...but ya...thats my little story^_^

I think the most frustrating parts of school was highschool for me. Highschool physics topped it. I had the same teacher for two years. Funny was how in one year he teaches a bunch of things, and the next year, he tells us to forget it all cuz it was all wrong. So second year of physics was physics all over again. o_O

But yeah~ a lot of things sorta play with your mind, you just gotta learn to wrap your mind around bigger and bigger things as you go.

The worst is when you get a teacher or a prof who obviously doesn't know what they're talking about (half drunk or just don't know their stuff)...and they try to cover it up by telling you to shut up and stop asking questions. Everyone's gonna encounter people like that. Then you start learning to learn out of a book or the internet ;)

I have a drama teacher who waits until the lesson has become completely silent and then shouts random words or sings a few lines from seventies rock songs at the top of his (extrememly loud and deep) voice and then looks down at his work and pretends it never happened.

Hm.. before class i always have a sort of small talk with my history teacher.. he is awesome.. teaches well, and we can say whatever we want to and he won' judge us.. he 'teaches' me philosophy too, and sometimes he changed my point of view.. >_<' witch is a little bit difficult to happen as i'm a little stubborn with some things. He makes some stupid jokes while we are talking about serious things, and it's impossible not to laugh.. xD
now, about a teacher that was the opposite.. hm.. my chemistry teacher.. i was expecting a great teacher, 'cause people are always saying good things about him.. but now after 3 yrs having his classes.. i'm really sure that he sucks.. he doesn't finish our books and we are always behind schedule 'cause he is aways getting out of our room to do somethings, or he stays there in his chair writing ..whatever, and sometimes he just keeps looking to the ceiling.. our classes usually are: "copy what's on the board and solve it".. one question that we can solve it in 5 minutes for 1:40hours of class.. in 3 yrs i compare my chemistry knowlegde with my friends that study in another school, an dim' like 2 yrs behind them ¬¬' he should get a retirement...
