This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

Vagrant Story: Forgotten I’m sure. The fighting system wasn’t very impressive even for its time, but its storyline was one of the best I had the pleasure to follow.

Final Fantasy Tactics: It didn’t have an enthralling plot or anything, but I remember it was very fun to follow along with the story (It could have been the captivating theme in the game and how divine and “ classic final fantasy” all the characters looked that did it for me however) :p

Metal Gear Solid: I don’t think I even need to state how groundbreaking the game was when it first came out and how it created a whole new standard for gaming, bringing them further in innovation and plot then they have ever really gone before. A definitely mile stone for the history of gaming.

Xenosaga : This story kept getting better and beter as I played. I can't wait for the third one to come out. I wanna finish the story.

Final Fantasy Vi : This one really threw me for a loop. I though I had had it all figured out but they kept throwing in more and more and I was at the point that all I could think about was what would happen next. Truly exciting.

Kingdom Hearts(the first one) : The storyline between the Disney worlds wasn't that great because it was basically the same as the movies, it was the story line in the background. The last battle was just so stunning.
SPOILER (click to view)

Well, those are my top three.

Xenogears-- said to be chapter V of the Xenosaga but this one is definitely different. Xenogears initially takes place on the continent of Ignas, where the nations of Aveh and Kislev have been waging war on each other for centuries. An organization known as the Ethos, which is a church-like organization preserving the world's culture, has excavated giant fighting robots called Gears. Gears had a major effect on the war and have almost entirely replaced man to man combat. While Kislev was gaining the upper hand in the war, a mysterious army known as Gebler appeared and started providing assistance to Aveh. With Gebler's help Aveh not only recovered their losses, but began making their way into Kislev's territory...

one of the best ever made by squaresoft with a mixed of CG and sprite arts plus a conventional RPG fighting system with a gear and human intervention. storyline is one of the twisted plot ever, deep and provocative in the sense the some of the content are taken from religion

Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 -- started out as a replacement for the chosen keyblade wielder, a boy who only wants to live a happy days with his friends kairi and riku. but a dream to see what is beyond the sea falls into a series of events that includes several disney world and characters to unravel the secret behind the darknes within a person's heart. first sequel was a challenge to destroy the heartless and seal the world but little did they know that a secret group called Organization Xi has an evil objectives about the true nature of Kingdom Hearts
good game system, which becomes the basis for Final Fantasy Xi because of its success in the market. totally fun to play with due to the fact that disney characters as well as cameo appearances of Final Fantasy Characters

Final Fantasy VII (Compilation) -- compilation of games starting from FFVII:before crisis, last order, crisis core, FFVII, FFVII: advent of the Children and last FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus is an amazing novel of amazing stories of a world spunned from lifestream where people protected by soldiers have been threatened by an enemy who once wishes to destroy the planet (Jenova) but then failed because of ancients that live to protect. however, the story set off with a legendary soldier who obtained part of Jenova and a would-be ex-soldier who wishes only to protect his love ones repeats the events of the past. amazingly, it ends with Dirge of Cerberus whom Vincent hides a secret of the last weapon ever to be revealed in the story. each has different gaming system but i admire the final book which Vincent played the part-- shooter RPG, although not as good as DEvil MAy Cry 3 but CG and storyline fills it well

I only have one favorite.
Riviera - The Promised Land This story allowed me to finish the game despite the repetitive gameplay.

IGN
Based on the WonderSwan Color game for Bandai, this RPG concerns a world torn apart by the strife of gods and demons -- a Second Advent is upon this time, and the warriors Ecthel and Ledah come together in a quest to determine the fate of the paradise land, Riviera. The game features multiple story paths and rhythm-based mini-sequences. The developer of the original, Sting, returns with this RPG set in the land of Riviera, where angels, devils and spirits fight a continuing war. You play as an angel called Excel, who holds the ultimate sword, the "Excellion," and move between conversation sequences, overhead field sequences and battles. Fields are divided into areas, and when you move from one area to the next, you lose the ability to return to the previous area. The battle system lets you carry in up to four items and weapons as you make use of standard and overdrive attacks to defeat enemies.

Final Fantasy 7-- THis just kept getting better as I played it and went even deeper into the story by going back to some places. Seriously an amazing game!

Star Ocean: the second story-- I LOVE the story so much I even bought the anime. The other great thing is that you can change the story counting on your person (rena/cloud) and your allies.

The Legend of Legaia:: THis was really fun for me. ^__^ I loved the characters and then the story was also interesting.

My three favorite game stories are, in order:

Radiata Stories-I just enjoyed it a lot, and there were a lot of touching moments (Ganz ;_;), in my opinion. The fact that the story branches out makes it pretty interesting. Sure, there wasn't much backstory for the side characters, but there was enough for each of the main characters.

Killer7-This one freaked me out. It's intense in a weird way. Apparently it's filled with symbolisms.

And when I think about it, Star Ocean: The Second Story was one of my favorites as well. Extremely well done in my eyes, as it's always fun and interesting. The pacing is good, and Precis is awesome. ^_^

QFT!!!

But, I just recently played a game with one of the best storylines every made.

Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy in the USA) : The character you start out as, has just killed someone, but he was under some sort of spell and can't control himself. After your character kills the other person, then you take control of the character. Now, thing about this game, is that you have multiple paths you can choose. Therefore, what you do at 1 part of the game, determines what happens later on. This is a must for those who like a cool storyline. Just do a google search and you'll see what I mean ~_^ .

Shadow Hearts : I really liked how that game managed to mix political intrigues with dark stuff like demons, possessions and demon invocations. Sadly that dark atmosphere was toned down in Covenant <_<

Persona 2 - Innocent Sin : Another dark - themed game that revolved around demons and such. The best part about it was all that stuff about the rumors you spread becoming reality and the appearance of the joker :P

Xenogears/Xenosaga : The story just kept getting better and better the more I played. Giant robots, conspiracies, and all those religious references = instant win.

FF5 - for how amazing the story made the 'original' world split into two...and...
SPOILER (click to view)

Chrono Trigger - for a rpg game that has the MINIMUM amount of flaw-holes, yet still a great game...very nicely done with the aspect of timelines
dot hack(Compilation)*includes mangas, animes, games - for how it didnt rush the game into less volume...always let me think of how world would be if a virtual world can actually affect reality...

1. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: I can't believe this hasn't been listed yet. The plotline of this game is a true epic adventure that spans over time and space and encompases a dark atmosphere below it's supposedly innocent surface. The characters, environments, and the overall spirit of the game makes this one of the best video game plots in existence. It's so powerful that every new Zelda game that has been released since is, in some way, connected to the events in Ocarina of Time.

2. Final Fantasy VII Compilation: What can I say that hasn't already been said? Just an amazing story that keeps on growing and enchanting fans everywhere.

3. Kingdom Hearts 1&2: It's no easy task to flawlessly encompass many Disney storylines, Final Fantasy characters from different games and platform eras, and original characters into such an imaginative and original story. When I first started playing Kingdom Hearts I didn't expect anything out of the ordinary, but I can't tell you how please I was to be proven wrong. This series will always have a place in my game collection. Now, I just need to finally beat KH 2...

Suikoden II has a pretty solid storyline, and Suikoden V ranks up there with it. Best character development, period.

Final Fantasy VI is also the best FF game I've ever played. You can never go wrong with old school.

Finally Valkyrie Profile. The game itself is nostalgiac and brings back painful pasts of characters you eventually recruit only to know they will die.

Metal Gear Solid: I like it how the sequence of stories is not in order (like star wars and their releases) and the detail within the story line. The story has always left me in the end going "WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!!"

Halo: I've loved Aliens by Ridley Scott and James Cameron (i fink its by them...pretty sure). I like it how the humans are overwhelmed by the aliens and are losing and a person can save them by using tactics instead of just lasting it all (like Rambo or something).

Dynasty Warriors: Based on a true story!!

Here's my top favourite storylines that absolutely gave excitement when I went through it.

1. Metal Gear Solid had a wonderful storyline unlike any other seen at that time. It was really awesome with all the climax when you went further ahead during gameplay. There was probably nothing in the story that you could've foreseen. It was simply an astonishing game.

2. Final Fantasy VII was one of my first RPG games and the story was really good. It told us about an EX-soldier who had some memory problems. And it eventually went deeper and everything started to come together with more and more danger ahead. A fantastic storyline that kept me playing it for a long time.

3. Final Fantasy X had really wonderful graphics, and it had a perfect storyline for its first entrance of Final Fantasy games into the PS2. There was so many mysteries when the main character got warped into another world. And it was simply exciting when the story went deeper and deeper, revealing unanswered mysteries to his appearance in the unknown world and that world's mysteries. The storyline was really amazing.
