fan(s) service
I watched a few anime that contains fans service..some are acceptable but some are just too eww~i don't wan to mention the anime title..but what do you think of fans service?interesting or entertaining or disgusting?i shall think..emmm~
Fan service.. is pointless... in my opinion becuz it is apart comedy (why not just watch comedy anime) and have lil ecchi (why not just watch hentai -_- lol) and the famous fan service anime like "he is my master" is just s**t... i wasted 4hr of my life watching it...
it is... not very amusing anime type (unless someone tell me a super good fan service anime and change my mind)

If the anime/manga is good and you add a bit of fanservice is not bad; but what I don't like is when the only strong point of the series is the fanservice
In elfenm lied i didn't like it , because the characters weren't interesting. But some other animes like, Kiddy Grade, or .hack i pretty like fanservice.
On a small scale.. Yes..
For the main topic of an anime? Put it on the trash can please..
I like fan service if it's not that much, and only as an addition to 'melt' things up.. that's all..

Fan service is a definite must in some series. Let's take The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi for example. Without fan service in that show, it wouldn't have been nearly as good. Admit it, Mikuru made that show 2x better. Haruhi was hot enough herself, but Mikuru just put the cherry on the cake.
Fan service is hilarious well done right. There are some shows, like Ikkitousen that should just quit before they even try though. Fighting and constant fan service (derr, all my clothes have torn off while fighting you, go figure)? Give me a break, lame.

To be honest, i really like fanservice, these scenes are always funny, but it's sometimes annoying. For example in Aika, you have one pantsu shot every 5 seconds... So some it's like alcohol, enjoy it with moderation ^^

I pretty much hate fanservice. I can live with it as long as it's moderate, but if it's like in High School Girls... aughhh.
Fanservice... Well, when they're flashing women's panties every fifteen seconds, then it's overtly sexist and unpleasant. One does not need to see these things. Occasionally, I suppose, is all right, but I don't think it's in good taste.
Mind you, when they start showing male fanservice a-la Shirtless Jet Black... Well, that's another issue entirely.

You need to understand that if there is no fanservice, there is much less appeal to otakus and hikikomori, therefore less money, therefore less quality anime for those of us that don't necessarily have a fetish with anime girls. And theres nothing wrong with appeasing those who do anyway if it doesnt fuck up the anime.
I will agree that sometimes its just unncessary and i used to get all pissy about it (see, bleach, suzumiya haruhi- asahina was supposed to be the big boobie girl but they decided hey lets give haruhi huge tits too) but now its like whatever. It generally doesn't detract from the plot, and if your watching an anime like green green TV, or a love-romance anime or a school girl anime then you'd generally expect it anyway from that genre.
but personally for me, etchi cannot subsittute porn.

I'm fine with it as long as it leads up to a funny situation, and has something to do with the storyline, accompanied by an appropriate setting. I don't think it should be too constant or random, as I don't really see it in very good taste.
Should see Mai-HiME fan service...
now thats 5 pantu per minute and 1 bra per minute... ^^

While we're on the subject of fan service, wtach DearS now that is blatant fanservice. the main focus of that series is fanservice. the whole S&M thing and the slutty teacher who only wears undies while in class and wait till you watch episode 13..........
I dl fan service only when nothing else is good, its good occasionally since it provides hilarious situations "SOMETIMES" not all animes do this. my fav would be full metal panic because it balances everything and doesnt go ovr the top. well the OVA went a bit but it was funny as hell. but yea to much ecchi is bad since to me it means you would rather watch animated pantsu than the real deal lol no offense.

In my opinion, they put much ecchi if anime is shitty, like Green Green. The characters are stupid, there is nothing funny, the story could have been good, but you don't see the main plot because of fan service. Sometimes it's good and sometimes bad. Like In Girls Bravo. The shower scenes were totally unnessecary( 1 or 2 would do), but wrestling in mud was quite funny. Onegai Twins is a total disaster, ecchi is unnessecary because everything is fucked up. And the worse thing about it (because of that it's even worse than green green) is that it's related to Onegai Teacher, which is a great commedy rommance, one of the best i've seen, and it is really disappointing.
