My name is Miki, real name Michaela. The reason they gave me this name was it came from my mom's TV idol, though I'm not so sure since I don't know my dad. A relative did comment that it might come from my dad. My dad's name might have been Michael or something. I am not so sure though.

My parents told me that my grandmother wanted me to be called Luiza, but they decide to put Olivia (wich is my name), I don't know why. The strange is that they wanted to call me Beatriz, I don't know why they changed their minds.

I was named Jessica because it was one of the most popular girls names at the time. My mom is very uncreative.
The plan originally was to name me Simone, but my dad was late arriving at the hospital, and at the last minute my mom changed her mind and named me before he got there.
She did keep the middle name they planned for me, though - Elise. My dad's mother came up with that one.

They called me baldric, I never found someone with the same name, and I don't know why my parents put me that name, maybe because it was original (I think they have found my name in a name dictionary).
My name is stephanie karlai, karlai being my middle name in Engish. But its also my Chinese name. My dad picked out my first name, his second choice was rachel, so I always say that my evil twin rachel did something not me. XD My chinese/middle name was actually picked out by my grandpa. He went to some fortune teller, used my birthday and stuff, and then made a list of "good luck" names for my grandpa to pick.

Why did my parents name me the way they did? Well, I asked them about it some time in my life and they said it's because they went to a psychic, Johnny Midnight, and he told them I would have a strong personality so my name should start with an "A". So my uncle thought of a "pretty" name starting with an A and my folks seemed to like it and gave it to me.
I like my name, Hollie. Its usually spelled Holly, but my parents wanted it to be different, so they changed the end. I think they named me my name beacause I was born in December and Holly is a christmassy thingy or whatever.
I had to do a religion project on this. My mom named me after her aunt. My dad didn't really care, but he gave me an alternate name for if anyone ever asked me if I have a cultural name. His reasons were simply that it was a common name in his culture. Nothing special.
