This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

Both my first name and middle name are Turkish...because I'm Turkish. My first name means "Kind hearted" and my middle name means "Wolf" . Not sure why my parents gave me the name I have now, but I know for certain that Wolves are my favorite animal, and alot of people say I'm sort of like a Wolf with my general attitude. And alot of people I know that I am very kind hearted, or that I have a "kind Soul".

My parents came from China so they didn't know much english when they had me. My cousin ended up naming me Tami...but I don't know why they didn't spell it Tammy. My Chinese name is funny...I don't really like it but oh well. I can't really spell it but I'll tell you what it means. My Chinese name means "bring a boy" because my parents wanted a son. (The first child was my sister, the second was me (not a boy!) and then magically, they had my brother) Funny how things turned out. (And guess what...I acted like a tomboy most of the time.)

My full name is Alexander and in russian, it means "Protector". Ask my mom why she decided on this one. No matter how many times I asked, she never could explain it properly. (;_;) emoticon

Russian - Александp (Aleksand(e)r), Алик (Alik), Саша (Sasha), Саня (Sanja), Санёк (Sanjok), Шура (Shura), Шурик (Shurik)

Friends usually call me Sanjok. XD But I REALLY dislike it, haha.

I was named after one of my mum's friends.. I think she was from Vietnam. It's Carlem but my mum's friend's name was actually Carlen.. so she misspelt it on the birth certificate! How nice, a typo for a name.

Wow! My aunt had the same experience as you! Well her name's meaning had something to do with 'bring a boy' but no, she isn't tomboyish at all. Infact, the most feminine among all my aunts (She has the sexiest dresses ever! Well, when she was young anyway) Afew years after she she was born...my dad was born...so, i guess her 'name' worked.
As for me, well...my first name means 'well-mannered' and my middle name means 'intelligent child'
Where did they get my name from? Well, i heard that it was a name that my late grandfather thought off and had wrote in down on a piece of paper. Umm, it's on his will too. He had arranged (before hand) the names of his future grand-daughters and grandsons even before my dad married my mom. So, when i was born, my parents just referred to that particular peice of paper (it was a very yellowy and worn out piece of paper, mind you) and taa daa! named me.

Hmm, i really like my name though. I'm 'Li Ling' *smile* (My family name is 'Tye')

I have an english name too, though i don't really use it that often. My mom gave me that name. She really liked Jaclyn Smith you see (The ex-Charlie's Angel)...so yup, she named me 'Jaclyn'. No, i don't look anything at all like Jaclyn Smith. Not even the least bit similar. People here in Malaysia tend to mispronounce and misspell my name most of then time, so that was why i don't use 'Jaclyn'. I'm 'Li Ling' to everybody i'm friends with. Or rather, most of them just called me 'Ling'.

My mum never told me why she named me Amber, but she was going to make my middle name 'Dawn' until my aunt [her twin, also pregnant at the time] said that she wanted to give my cousin that middle name. [I am now quite glad my mom let her have it.] I guess that the story goes that about a couple of months before I was born, my mom still hadn't thought of a good middle name for me, and was watching the Price is Right. Well, there was a contestant named Noelle. My mom liked it. And I've been Amber Noelle since... Even though she courted around the name Kimber Billie. LOL.

My mother gave me my name because it was American. There's no crazy back story and there's no cool ancestor who I have been named after. I've got a pretty boring name. The funny thing is that I've got one class where there are three of us with the same name - so it's pretty confusing when somebody ends up getting called by the teacher and we all look up like:

"Wah?"
