I got into the series cause I was a big fan of FLOW and they did the first OP.

Then I started watching when it was still relatively unknown, god damn, teh first episode alone gripped me. I like the freshness of the characters and the plotting to overthrow the kingdom kinda story. The mechs are pretty nice too.

I think it's really just the overall mood/theme of geass that gripped me, really. It is so suspensful and...awesome.

I like it for the great story line! Also I like Lelouch as main character, cuz he's not like all the other heroes of animes. And the character design is by CLAMP, so why shouldn't we love it? xD

Well, I just started watching this anime, only because I waited till they released nearly all of it so that I can watch it in one shot. Anyway, I was rather surprised how great this anime is because I didn't have much expectations for it. I thought it was going to be like Gundam SEED or something similar.One thing for sure, it certainly has the friendship element where sooner or later, it seems like Suzaku and Lelouch will go against each other because their philosophies are so contrasting. Suzaku wants to change Britannia from within whereas Lelouch wants to destroy it completely because of his hatred towards it. Each of them are justified in their belief. The only question is this: Whose determination is stronger than other?
By the way, I have a little more support for Lelouch than Suzaku maybe because he's such a rebel. Haha. Lelouch is pretty ruthless when it comes achieving his goals while Suzaku is completely opposite.
theseries is just one of the best animes I've seen awhile. I'm going crazy for 24 & 25. I'm also unbelievable happy to hear theres going to be another season. I just don't believe they could resolve everything thats going on in just 2 episodes. They'd have to do alot of squeezing.I hope some more of the manga turns up soon as well. I want to see more of The Knightmare of Nunally. Despite it being really weird it was neat seeing another side to the story that might have been possible.
I think this anime is going to be great, but I still can't tell how good it is since the end of season 1 doesn't come with any resolution. I think it needs to fix a couple things if it wants to become a excellent anime:Explain whats up with CC. Who is she and why does she have gaess or whatever. If they intend it as some type of mystery they need to do a better job (like Evangelion, Higurashi et al.) Which means they can't just have us ask questions they have to give us some freaking hints too. Like the link between Suzaku, Lelouch to CC.Suzaku is really lame right now. I don't understand what the heck his "torauma" had to do with his joining the Britannia army and attempting internal change or whatever. He is treated like a slave and he always gets to be told to kill the Japanese and he never ends up killing them. So boring.
I don't know how many princes and princesses Britannia has, but so far we have seen around 6? There should be more foreshadowing as to who those others are. Like when schnizel (sp?) suddenly appears out of nowhere, I thought that it was the stupidest thing ever. I think great animes are well planed out.More Mecha and better design. Like 90% of the mechs are generics that are boring and get slashed apart by the 5 or so heros. Why are there mechs if they are so dull. I've seen this series compared to SEED a lot, but it definitely loses out on action least of all. The way lelouche looks at the end of the opening still scares me. Lastly why isnt Geass spelled geas or geis (which would be how it probably should be spelled)? Before I watched the anime I was like do you pronounce that "gay-ass" or "gauss"

I really liked when lelouch accidentally geass-ed euphemia.
They also did good whit the action-mecha scenes.

Lets see.
The anime is great, one of my favorite.
Why?
Because the story is great, interesting, intriguing.
The character design is by CLAMP and I LOVE CLAMP, and overall the art is really nice!
The character personalities are very interesting too.
The mecha scenes were really nice done!

And of course because I'm in love with Lulu

I started watching this because my friend told me it was like a "better version of Gundam Seed Destiny," and I was a huge Seed fan back then.

I like Code Geass because of the Death Note/Gundam story/plot/characters, all mixed into one.

I've always liked animanga that are based on the genre concerning mechanics and whatnot. It's been a long time since I saw anything like that, so CG immediately caught my attention. Besides, the hero's insane in his own way, that's so... er... attractive. xD You know what I mean! The guy's just awesome in every way.

The characters for this anime is great. While they aren't unique, the personality selection makes a very strong cast.

Also, this series has the political intrigue that I've been seeking for awhile.

First was the AMV, then came C.C.

I like this anime cause it has nice story and character also animation in this anime is really nice, i hope they will make 2nd season :D

Man, the story branched out a lot in it, definitely not an anime to marathon. I had to think about what I just watched when I'd finish an ep. I look forward to the second season.

Every once in a while you need a good psychotic sociopath antihero. it really is like a combination of death note and gundam seed.

i agree - Code Geass ~Lelouch of the Rebellion~ is a pretty awesome anime and I recommend it to anyone. This show contains one of the best dualities I have ever seen.
Each episode is gripping and contains many plot twists. One of the best anime I have ever seen. It does help that the graphics are all top notch.
10/10 on everything. I recommend anyone who is looking for a new anime to watch to get into this series!
After watching the first half of this two season monster, I have to say, this is probably one of the best series I've ever seen, There is also a second season to this if I'm not mistaken.

Its a interesting anime. But nothing more.

They try to make something with a inteligent script, but the story is full of things badly explained...

"A children go kill your own father for the nation sake."

Ok, this dont make sense, its a ilogical idea for a plot who wants to be intelligent. In One Piece and Naruto you can see a thing like that and dont fell like a fool but in a plot who want to be intelligent this dont make sense. Its just a exemple...

Other exemple: When Suzako, Lelouch, Ephemia and Karen become lost in beach, OMFG... An entire army with airplanes dont found nobody of they? They were surrounded, and just disappear like magic...

I first liked Code Geass because the characters where made by CLAMP. And,for me, CLAMP are like goddess in the manganime universe, special persons who makes incredible manga and breathtaking stories.
And knowing that these goddess where working in this series I downloaded the first chapter and I was prepared for a good beggining. And so be it, I watched the firts episode and it fulfilled my expectations: an incredible character design, an OST that makes his work correctly and some interesting story in the incoming chapters.

And well, now I have to say that I like this series for his story, his characters and the things that gonna happen very soon when the second season appear in 2008.
A great series that I recommend to everyone here. You must wacht it and see Lelouch and Suzaku in action ^^
