Do you believe in the afterlife?

I dont believe in an after life that much because it dosnt make much sense to me, you die and something that represent everything you are goes into an ethereal plane, it dosnt make much sence to me o.0
I really think it means of death but an afterlife i think i'll just rot and recycle into the earth and my spirit would just take over one taht is being newly born and not occupied?... otherwise i think i'll just be a ghost watching the earth as it evolves which is my dream :D . but since i'm christian maybe i'll be going to heaven/hell..?? who knows. can't really be dead unless if you're forgotten and not existing

Who knows wether there's an afterllife exist or not,
you can only know it when you are dead already and then those who dies only know it and can those people who died can tell about it to us? i dont think so, so if you believe it or not it depend on your own

I dont like to think of it like this but.....think of it like fire insurance. believing in something is better than believing in nothing.

In fact, there are many, many thousands of people who have died and come back to tell others of their experience. As medical technology and our ability to resuscitate has improved, the numbers have increased exponentially.
Some claim that this experience is merely hallucinatory, caused by a dying brain, but the facts belie this. On the Science channel, they profiled the case of one woman who had a near death experience while her brain was completely flatlined. No activity whatsoever. Plus there are the experiences of those who gain knowledge during the event they could not have known beforehand.
Oh, I wanna say yes...... but.... it's just too hard to really know. I can't get over that it's just a man made thing for fear of death. But the thought of life without it is meaningless. So I'll go with I hope so
Put simply i believe
death is the stoping point of your mind
no after life no rebirth
but i dont know why people worry about it
if there is nothing your mind wont even be aware
of the nothingness
and if there is something after than thats
good to its not that im against
the theory of the after life
but by the may
i agree with a few people here
i belive in the here and now

People always have an idea of waht it is after death, it is their opinoin on how will they imagine it to be...
but the Bible clearly states that(if you are a christian), God sent Jesus Christ to save men from hell because God wants us to be with Him for eternity in heaven...
(to be with Him, you will need to accept Jesus Christ as your personnal Savior)
this is just my oppinion... heheheh i am not tring to persuade you to believe it cause it is your own choice in doing that... heheheh

As a Christian, I beleive in Heaven and Hell. I don't think there's anything in between.
I believe there is a heaven but i don't really think there is a hell. I partially get my ideas about this from my mom. I believe that everyone is born to learn some sort of lesson out of life and if you don't learn that lesson you get put back on earth until you do learn it but if while learning one lesson you miss out on learning another lesson then you will be brought back to learn that lesson. so pretty much untill you've learn all the lessons you need to learn then you just keeping being brought back. I know it probably sounds a bit weird but so far thats what i believe happens. I really don't think a god/high power (whatever you want to call him/her/them) that created us and this world would really send people to a place to suffer for all eternity.

I agree with most of you but i think that after i pass out my body will just transform into some decomposed material , and after then . after all thats all that i see in the rest of the bodies.

Like someone already said - there'sa no way to know so hang the sense of it and get on with the here and now... you'll find out eventually...
as for a "god" counting your good and bad deeds... the thing I don't get is why would an all knowing all powerful being give one crap about what us humans do on this little backwater planet? why would an all knowing all powerful being want/need us piddly humans to worship it? does it have an inferiority complex?
right down at the root/base level it just makes no sense...
also consider this... if the god is all knowing and all powerful then there is no free will - it might seem like we have a free will but "it" already knows every little thing you are going to say and do in your entire life... so it already knows your final judgement before you were even born... hmmmmmm...
have a nice day! ;o)

Quite. But sometimes I think it depends on the people, meaning you might have an afterlife or you might not.
I do know I don't like the idea of heaven and hell. People in heaven are perfect, people in hell are completely rotten, then some say "normal" people get purified in hell before going to heaven.
...I don't like purity, it's just not me. Must it mean I must change myself to become the ideal person just so I can live an eternal "life"?
Means I shouldn't care about this **** except when I write.
