Your Nationality
What is your nationality? I've seen people that arn't from the United States around here. I'm starting this thread with an open mind to other cultures, please don't use racist comments.
As for me, both of my parents are Mexican, but I was born in the US, therefor I know a lot of Spanish. My skin is very light, though. XD

My parents are from the Dominican Republic and so am I. I came to the US when I was eleven, so I still pretty much remember my spanish well. ^.^
Born and raised in NY but I'm of Chinese nationality. My mom's from China and my dad's from Hong Kong (I guess HK is part of China now, though.)
I know Chinese (Cantonese) but I HATE speaking/listening to it and I rarely make Chinese friends since I don't want to talk to them in Chinese.

DUDE! Im an American Chinaman too! I speak Cantonese also! Parents from Guangzhou in China! Though I live in CA, Santa Ana and FYI HK merged with China since 1997! finding other cantonese speaking people is hard.. like one in a trillion, most chinese speak mandarin, So i just stick with english speaking people. I should have learned it, but parents only spoke to me in cantonese, *sighs*oh well.

I'm Filipino. Well, kinda mixed... Part chinese and part spanish too. I guess filipinos can't help it, it's part of our history.
I lived in the Philippines for two years, but then moved here to the States. I didn't go back for quite a while (about 11 yrs)... I went back in December. I'm able to converse in Tagalog, but I'm not that good when it comes to writing it XD.

I'm Chinese. Parents are from Hong Kong, and I was born there. Then, I moved to Canada when I was about 3. Only went back two times though... once in 1998, and once last summer.

I'm chinese as well. speak cantonese but i'm not one to speak it regularly. i only speak when spoken to by an adult. other than that its english all the way.
was born in canada. parents were both born in vietnam, but both grandparents on either side were from china. my parents know quite a few languages (english, cantonese, mandarin, vietnamese...my dad knows another chinese dialect), but i guess cantonese was the one that they stuck with.

Im hmong.....ah i hate my nationality... -__-; we're probably most famous for helping americans in the vietnam war... XD
My mom is from Finland, and my dad is.. well, from Canada, but his family was from Norway, and Sweden.. and Poland.. so I'm a bit of all of those.
Citizenship wise, I'm Canadian (born here) and Finnish (my mom is still a Finnish citizen, so I get to be too).

I'm from singapore...
but strangely i speak chinese(hokkien and cantonese and hakka and hainanese and mainly mandrin) some malay and both variations of english (the normal 1 and singlish
i'm actually not very fluent in any of the above mentioned languages but i can understand them when spoken to...
the interesting part is that the language system has evolved to the point where all these languages are mixed up and people here speak with patches of their languages mixed up with others. this produces alot of weird sentences and most foreigners don't hav a clue wad the hell we're saying most of the time, even though we claim to be speaking english...lol
