Hi... this is my first wallpaper... i'm newbie with photoshop... and present my work..

I think the backgroud looks a little too cutsie for the image of kenshin. i think it needs a little more of a dark background. the flowers don't seem to fit in.

Use some nature type background and clean up the image a bit (its a bit grainy).
Put the text rurouni kenshin in the middle of the "x"

Kenshin plus flowers... personally I do not think it's a good match. But a sakura tree will be nice since it fits the theme...

All in all unpleasant to look at. the blue back is just ugly in my opinion, and of course since it takes up most room, it makes the whole thing ugly. Not the right pic of kenshin to use either...too serious for the pink. So change/fill up the bg and find another kenshin pic.
Hmm...the most distracting thing is the red 'X' that doesn't really fit in to the background at all. Second, is you need to fix up the scan quality, and change the simple gradient background to some scene, with mountains, temples or w/e. That's about it, for now. :)
I think you should get rid of the x and put something more martial, or violent in the background. dont get rid of the tree or flower petals. I think it could make a wonderful counterpoint. but that picture of kenshin does not promote a cute or nice sort of background.
And now the casting for the actors is almost complete,
as we begin the third act.
All that's left is to wait for the curtain to rise.
