Eh you cant have a wall created primarily out of filters... It looks like she's pasted onto a wall or ground of some sort. If anything, make her come out of a computer screen...

Nice concept and mood, I'd say. It's not very bothersome besides the fact that all you did was filter. :\ I'd rather do something like wall textures and such.

I like. But I think you should go on working on the wallpaper. There's so much black you can fill with textures.
Its kinda simple but the mood of it fits the show you should put some more things on the black parts
Hmm. the background is too empty. try adding more effects on it, but make it so the image is still highlighted.
Grunge bgs are being typically added to Lain, so that would be the way. It may also feature some pixelated art, assuming that you are keeping that pixelated render.

Hmmm maybe it would be a little more interesting if you used the filter only on the surface of the character and maybe added some grunge brushes. Curious to see how this one develops, Goodluck!

Ya, people here really like you to fill up a wallpaper with stuff, they're not big fans of using a solid color. i like the idea/feel of your wp. i personally say keep the all black bg. maybe make her bigger, that way you take up more black space but still get to keep it (could also make the text slightly bigger and maybe add some sort of effect to some of the text but not all). then i would try submitting like that, see what they say. if it gets rejected you can always try something else. i guess it just depends on if you don't mind losing the papers or not.
