Hi People. How's everyone doing? Well, I'll get to business
I'm thinking of starting an auction site, Like eBay but not, And it would just be for Anime, Art, Prints, DVD's, Possibly commissions, What do you think to the idea? If i decide to go ahead with the idea, I might look to AP for site designers and moderators, but right now, it's only a thought, NOT AN ADVERT!! Just express your Ideas, Thanks!

I like this idea and it might turn out really good. I haven't heard of anything like this before so I bet that a lot of people around here would check it out.
I think that's a good idea. It would make finding anime stuff easier.
I'd finance the whole thing, try and get sponsors (probably Google) and stuff, but my main worry ATM of the whole thing is the Site design, I'm Good with computers but rubbish at design. If others think this is a good Idea, I'll go ahead with it.

It may be a good idea, however.
1) You will need to code the site professionally (I'm not talking about the design), if your trying to make an auction site (or any business where items are bought online) it must be done properly. It needs to be secure and fully tested.
2) You will most likely require proper hosting that's meant for businesses (it will need encryption). Some come with paypal and shopping cart integration. What happens if a server crashes, are there backups.
3) You will have to take care of the legal side. What happens if someone runs away with the money/product, registering a business etc...
4) You will need to promote the site somehow so that it will reach a wide enough audience to actually work.
Also you will be competing with sites like ebay (I know a few people who buy various anime things from there), yahoo auctions and other sites like Amazon (resellers as well as possibly Amazon itself).
That all said I wish you luck
