Heh, I figured I'd share and get some feedback on this Byakuya fanart.

I used to draw at least 4 detailed images a week in the past. Then, I sorta trailed off and stopped altogether. This is actually my 3rd drawing in over 5 years. Alot of my techniques have gotten dull, and I find myself erasing now, when I didn't have to in the past. In addition to that, my tools are poor and basic; Regualr no.2 pencil with a blunt eraser and low quality paper, hence the messiness in the lineart.

This was a Happy Belated Birthday/Welcome Home gift to someone who really likes Byakuya. She made me something for my birthday and I wanted to do the same. She's a seasoned artist and I didn't want to give her something crappy but due to certain factors that I won't get into, I rushed [ I'm always in a rush =\ ] this piece from the start, which contributed to the overall mess.

Anyway, tell me what you think.

I'm not good at CG'ing yet. I only know the basics and go about the rest my own way. If I did it often, I'd be more proficient at it but for now, I'll just do what I can.
I haven't touched the PSD in months, but I plan to finish it up soon enough and use it in a wallpaper. I guess I just became content with showing her the WIP. =\




Since I'm making one thread, I might as well add my latest project too. This drawing was done for a battle on a forum I visit. Again, done at the last minute, rushed, same pencils, eraser, and paper. I keep forgeting to buy better tools. Not only that, but since I knew I was cleaning it up in Photoshop, I didn't care about being too messy.



The image is pretty self-explanitory; I needed Sora in Soi Fong's pose. So I took a screenshot from the previous Bleach OP, then used that and images of Sora from Kingdom Hearts 2 as references.

Same thing with this one; I haven't touched the PSD in months. Also, I'm a big fan of Hisahi Hirai's and Hiromitsu Morishita's art; they were 2 of my favorite artists for Gundam SEED/Gundam SEED Destiny. You can see a bit of Hiromitsu's influence on me in Sora's eyes. [just a bit ^^]

CGing is nice on the first one, keep that up :P

Couple of things feel off on the second one though, face shouldn't be completely flat, in the original picture it's angled downwards a bit. It's also a bit wide methinks T.T. Hair's a bit fat as well too, should be a bit thinner and spikier IMO.
