Nice to meet you Miriallia!
Well, the scan eztraction is nice and I like it.
The only thing I think it's wrong is the background:
too simple.
Hope it can help you!

The background is realy too simple. Work on it, experiment and you may get something better as a result.

I'm sure you can do it!!
OK, the extraction looks OK, but having the white dotted glow takes a lot away from it. The scan could be a bit more clean.. if you are using Photoshop, duplicate the layer with the scan (I multiply it three times in case I am not happy with the turnout). Take the top layer and go to noise:median and set it on 3-5 (less for a small scan, more for a large scan), and then set that layer to sof light or overlay. Take the layer below and use Blue:Smart Blur and use the filter to soften any scan lines or iregularities on the scan. If there are still some dots from the process go the the lower layer and use Noise: Despeckle. On the background, if you want to keep the general idea but mix it up, use the poly gonal lasso to selct the star shapes one at a time and go to Edit:Transform:Rotate And Scale. If you want some more random background I would suggest going to deviantart.com and browsing thier brushes :)
Cute picture, but they both look too dark! I would lighten them up a bit and maybe get rid of the dots as well. I think the stars work to a certain extent but might want to be changed. Other than that I think that maybe your sig could improve a bit, but a good first attempt by any means!
From looking at it and NOT reading the others' comments[which sometimes influence what I say. x( ]. I have some positive points and some negative points.
First off, the extraction is very clean. Good work! But the scan it self is dull and has a light grain to it. You can easily clean that up by duplicating this layer and then setting it to 'Overlay' or 'Soft Light' after lightly adding a gaussian blur. In a mostly clean scan like this, its easier and just as effective and a full revectoring job. '
Second, i think you can do more with the background. Background elements are very important since they're the part that display your part of the work on the wallpaper. Adding a foreground also helps make the scan a part of your work instead of the other way around. Try devising a scene instead of a random abstract graphic and then work on each element of that scene and slowly piece it together. :)
I hope that helped!
