Gundam 00's Second Season to Start in October of 2008
A flyer distributed to Japanese bookstores has announced the publication of the Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Official File periodical and the decision to start the broadcast of the second season of Mobile Suit Gundam 00 in October of 2008. The animation company Sunrise and the broadcast network TBS/MBS had previously announced that the current first season of the robot war anime series will consist of 25 episodes, and that the second season will air after a brief hiatus.
The two companies had broadcasted Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, another military robot series, in a similar half-year run. Although Sunrise had announced there would be a sequel for Code Geass, the project's official blog had stated in March and reiterated in July that the staffers do not know when this sequel will be released and whether the sequel will have a "TV broadcast, OVA, or theatrical release."

For anyone that knows, was it confirmed anywhere that the series would indeed air in October, or was it just said to air in Fall 2008?

I can't wait for the second season. To me Gundam 00 was a really creative show, so i can't wait to see where it goes ^_^

To everyone who is not sure about the second season, it will be aired in october 2008 for sure. And i think it will be better than the first season! Now just wait for it! Iam realy excited and who watched the serie know why ;)

I think its more of taking time to review the plot and designs. They are trying to make this series a success since Gundam Seed Destiny failed in terms of the plot, but did very very very well in mecha design. But on the whole, gundam fans weren't satisfied with Seed Destiny. Besides, 00 is a lot more realistic.
Well,i cant to watch the season 2!i need to wait for 1 year to buy it!^^it is a great news to me!

Really liked how the story ended it kinda finished in a way but yes still goes on unlike the likes of the cliffhanger in Geass which had me pull out my hair!
