Wtf!? Just saw ep. 23, I hope they don't kill of Lockon, he's my favorite, and I really don't see a substitute... Anyone know for sure if he's dead?

I share your opinion there. he's my favorite too. and Haro repeating his name at the end seems a bit lonely to hear. i hope it was just like Wing with Heero and Trowa that we can see Lockon once again. in any case, the rumor about Lyle seems to count in for that. maybe he'll take the position as the next Lockon and it won't be the same again..

At least he got one of the coolest death scenes in all of the gundam series for his trouble.
Too bad that his Dynames's GN Arm only last for a while. That Ali shoot/destroy it. damn him!! If it's not because of that Ali, destroying the GN Arm, Lockon might be still alive at the end; Setsuna (that just arrive in Exia), might have save him. huhu

Well, Trowa survived a blast inside the cockpit and so does Heero Yuy.. if you take a look at it again, i'd say, that there's a good chance that he might be still alive-- or not, i remember, Lockon's condition that time wasn't a 100% so i guess that rumor might be true. time to accept the fact. still, i'd really want him to be back with Dynames..

The whole dramatic scene would be a waste if Lockon somehow survives the explosion. I just hope for the sake of the series that he doesn't end up coming back alive--though he's one of my favorite characters, but the whole set up would just simply be stupid. Gundam 00 is not seed, nor Wing, and no matter how many times a character may resurrect in the past series, I feel that 00 is different. After all, Setsuna was right in front of that scene--plus, it's the same director from Full Metal Alchemist.

If Lockon comes back, it will make the series as pointless as Wing and Seed had become. Why bother counting lives when you have infinite reborns?

I do not believe that lockon is dead. if it is anything like Gundam Seed or Destiny, they will bring him back because kira seemed to have died twice, once in Seed and another in destiny. So they can't kill the major characters.
plus regarding that exia will go down might be true, but then the gundam that appeared to setsuna when he was young will come back and reappear somehow to save him once again.

Its possible for that Gundam to appear , but i highly doubt that , since there only 4 GN drives made , one with the Green light , That Gundam made have been a prototype , considering is similar look to the old Gundam from the original Mobile Suit Gundam

This is not Gundam Seed, it's Gundam 00--stop trying to compare Lockon to Kira. Lockon is dead, face it. Like I said, everything would simply be stupid if Lockon survives. The whole dramatic scene would go to waste, and again, Setsuna was right in front of the explosion--I'm sure he would've noticed if Lockon survived.
