Its amazing how they revived some of the chracters. this one should of stayed dead. i thought he was dead for a second.

anyway since he is obviously alive i think there needs to be some epic battle between him and setsuna. everytime they fight its usually for about a minute or two. they should dedicate like half an episode with just these two charcteres fighting.

Ok...that SHIT killed Lockon...and now he's alive? All Lockon wanted was to revenge his family...and he died for that...but no...the little shit is ALIVE! I'm really pissed you know. Probably Setsuna is going to kill him for what happened when he was little, and Lockon died for nothing.

This guy reminds me of that gaul character from FMP, never dies and sticks like a disease.

It is sad but true. He is still alive. Apparently he said he suffered massive burns from the battle with Lockon. Now, it all comes down to who kills him in the end: Setsuna or Tieria.

As much as I like Lockon, I love Ali, don't know why, I seemingly get attracted to the assholes.
It's maddening that Lockon seemingly died in vain though, Imo Ali should have been dead.

I think Ali is a pretty interesting character. However like many have said, he should've died. I don't really see a point killing Lockon, but I guess we'll be seeing more action from the current Lockon and Ali? But then it seems like he has a few possible rival that could kill him in the future...Setsuna, Tiera, and Lockon, who would it be~?

It's not surprised me at all (Epilogue at the end of the last season finale and the this season OP have given the hint of his comeback). Even though he realized and managed to dodged Lockon's trap but it's too late. I think the blast incapacitated his Throne Zwei completely with losing part of his arm and maybe both of his legs. Somehow, he's lucky as his wound can heal and his damaged cell could be regenerated as he had been hit by energy weapon generated from the original GN Drive. I think the 4 year period is enough time it takes for him to fully recovered.

As a payment for the regenerative treatment, he have to work with his new employer; the Innovator. So this season, he able to get back into the scene with the unfinished business with Setsuna from the their last encounter. He'd shadowed Setsuna in terms of mobile suit combat skills and technology (Since he's the one who taught Setsuna how to fight). His new Archee Gundam; using Innovator advanced mobile suit design and improved and integrated Throne Zwei weapon system dwarf and nearly defeat 00 in one time.

Coupled with evil coolness, maybe psychopathic and sadistic taste for war, he's maybe one of many characters in Gundam universe that people love to hate and a few adore him.

During last episode of first season showed that Ali was survived from original Lockon Stratos-san last resort attack to sacrifice himself to stop him. I'm probably sure that Ali Al-Sarshes alive, so he'll be appear. For Tieria's revenge for the sake our dear friend space cowboy Lockon-san doing the right thing.

I personally think Setsuna's gonna get the kill. Setsuna is the only one without a major past-haunting antagonist. Graham doesn't count under this category since Graham was recently met. Setsuna has known Ali since he was a kid and now has a grudge to settle twice as much. The only reason Tieria wants to kill Ali is revenge for Lockon, but he's going to be distracted with fighting against the Innovators. The Innovators are his past, Ali is Setsuna's past, Allelujah's past just caught up with him again, and Kujoh has to duke it out now with Kati.

So yes, I think Setsuna's gonna get the kill on Ali. He has more to settle against Ali--more so than anyone else really.

You know, if Saji offers his contribution in Celestial Being and end up as Setsuna's wing man and manage to learn who did murdered his sister Kinue, he might freak out and foolishly follow the footstep of Katz Kobayashi and might end up like him as well.

So here are the list of characters that hold a grudge against the infamous Ali al-Sarchez:
1) Setsuna ~ Obviously, he cannot fully rely on his new and improved 00 and his luck to kill him. He need to improve his combat skill first and have a solid resolution
2) Tiera ~ Got owned in the last encounter and his reason to fight bend on defeating the Distortion
3) Nena Trinity ~ Hell-bent to kill Ali after what he did to her brothers, she got guts trying to kill him after meeting with for the first time in four years but quickly subdue by him. She might use her feminine and allow herself to be his toy for a while in order to stab him in behind.
4) Saji Crossroad ~ Ali killed her only sister in cold blooded and might join the fray in he learn is the real killer.

Oh yeah, well then, the only big characters who died are from our side. I wonder what Lyle's past is going to be. I'm also wondering, did Nile and Lyle have a good relationship and was very dear to each other? Because when Nile dies, he was like "The world Lyle lives in" and stuff.

Don't forget Graham's former wingmen~ They were about as major as Chris and Lichty (Yes, I remembered his name!) were.

And I think they were. When Setsuna told Lyle that he was part of the group that killed Lyle's entire family, Lyle had a flicker of anger across his face.

But it's confusing because up until the last ep, Neil never mentioned Lyle, nor was it shown in any of his flashbacks.

Because he never knew he has a twin or he knew but the death of his family bother his mind for years until he being recruited into Celestial Being and never try to seek or confront his twin. I think both Ali and Lyle will cross path in the battlefield when one of them is getting in the way another or Ali done something that make Lyle pissed and the duel between them would be brief.
