I'm on computer(not laptop)
but if it was a Imac then i would not care if it was laotop OR deskpot
since i like imac mroe then windows(but i'm better and used to windows) but i HATE the monopol

Desktops are my preference. I prefer the fact that they have more power and are quicker. Also i find them simpler to update. There is more space to work inside them when you open up. Desktops in my oppinion offer more to you. The real advantage of a laptop is in it's portability, while they are definately portable they most certainly aren't light and also the battery life doesn't last as long as you would really like it to.

Desktops...I can't type on a laptop that well...and I don't like it when someone tries to read my work over my shoulder. Also, I tend to type better and faster on a desktop than a laptop.
I just prefer desktops couse they have a better relation price- performance than laptops do. Having a powerful laptop would be really cool but its really much more expensive than having a really fast and powerful desktops so, i go for desktops
I prefer desktop more over labtop because they are just more versatile. For example, games that requires good graphics can be only played on desktop, last few days i tried to play Oblivion on my labtop, and it's just disastrous...
In almost every way...a desktop is better...power, price, modified with ease..

Hmm.. i don't have a laptop, so i pick desktop 'xD... but i really want one.. i'll get one just if i go well in college exams next year ><'... xD
I like a desktop more, even though I don't have a laptop.
But my sister has a laptop and I just hate the build in mouse, it just overreacts everytime I use it.
And a desktop is more powerfull, faster then a laptop and I like to customize my desktop with different, stylish things which I couldn't do with a laptop. =)
And laptops get stolen a lot from commuters here in my country. >.<

Hm.. well I don't have a laptop. Even if I had one, I would still like my desktop better. There are some things that a laptop can't do like a desktop, like being altered or upgraded.
Like many other users have stated: Laptop for school, desktop for home.
I'm actually posting this message on my laptop right now. I'm sitting in my college cafeteria though. So, without my laptop I wouldn't be able to do this.
For gaming though, I'd definitely use my desktop. This laptop can't even come close to my desktop in terms of video/cpu power.
I don't have wireless on my desktop either, so if I'm sitting around the house, I'm usually on my laptop remote desktoping into my desktop. Lol.

For school work and outside the home I go with the laptop because it goes with you. I prefer a laptop but I have a pc because at this time it is more powerful and can hold a lot of the programs I need.
Just becoz laptop is mobile... it is way too expensive even tho its specs are obviously lower than same price level of desktop. basically... for me laptop costs too much XD

Desktops!! y because it better bigger screen mouse and other thing. well labs hav a fun key bord but i hate therr mouse nd you cant hook up speakers and woofers ^^. plus i dunno desktops are just better lab are just aniyin symtumes i dunno y but yea it is.
