I like both of them...
Performance, I prefer desktop...
Handy and Portable, I prefer Laptop...
But I like desktop more...
Coz I can do an extreme upgrade and modifications to it.... :-)

I think both are good, depending on when and how you want to use them. For instance, laptops are good if you want to do quick jobs (that's what I think), yet desktops seem more reliable to me.
I'm already aware that desktops are far more powerful, but because I like to be able to take all my work with me, I'll always be a laptop user. I've got two laptops currently, a "powerful" one, and a portable one. (Though the portable one's admittedly pretty powerful too. ^^)
Desktops all the way. i can build it and upgrade it myself when and how i like rather than buying a whole new thing. i know lappys are becoming more upgradable but still i like my big watercooled monster for a desktop case.

Cos Laptop is way too expensive...and laptop has very limited stuff...everything is like seperate with it as in externally

Well, i prefer both laptop and desktop.
But somehow laptop the most. hee. n_n
Cause it's easier to carry around. And i can put anywhere i like.
Somehow, there is still a lot of disadvantages.
1- When your touchpad is like dead (the buttons are not functioning), you will sure having a hard time using this com. But you can still use the external mouse.
2- Laptops only hv one cooling fan. So, is easy to heat up the system.
3- When it's like half dead (u still can use), it mostly will scream like hell. Irritiating.
4- Is expensive to buy parts (like hardware) which is mainly for laptop. damn expensive!!
5- If you wanna up-grade the laptop to the lastest requirements, then it would be not benefit, and expensive to up-grade.
6- the ports in the laptop is less than the desktop. (damn i can't plug this and this at the same time, they require the same port.)
7- Sometimes the port is easy to get spoilt if you always plug in and out.
Desktop is still far more better than laptop.
U can get a better system than laptop with a cheaper price.
If you get a very very good laptop, it will be very very expensive.
But if you get a very very good desktop (same as the very very good laptop), it will be cheaper mostly by half price of the very very good laptop.

Hmm...i will go with desktops cuz they're more better! xD I like having a mouse and keyboard too! ^^ And i love the sound systems in desktops! In laptops, it's too confusing and it's too much of a hassle to carry it around everywhere and they can break easily too! I don't have a laptop and i wouldn't really want one. So, i would stay with my desktop! ^____________^

Definitely a laptop if you're going on a trip and don't have a computer to use or if you need it for work or something.

Laptops because they are so portable, but they don't do very well for online gaming.
Desktops have all the fast components, so usually they are much better with performance and cheaper. Laptops are really made to be portable and lack some performance... but if you got a kick ass Apple Macbook Pro... well no need to worry about performance.

I would perfer laptops because they are portable and light weight^^ i got a desktop so i can't bring it here and there so that's why i'd like a laptop^_^

I prefer desktop computers. They can be updated more easily, they're cheaper and you can build one as you want.
Laptops aren't bad, but their prices make me say "oh... no money, so fuck it". I admit, however, that I'd really like to have a portable Mac (iBook?). Powerful and useful for design, specially with programs like AutoCAD and other related tools.

I prefer desktop so I can upgrade it once a while without worrying others checking my HD hehe
